The pursuit of nutraceuticals to improve the quality life for patients with neurodegenerative conditions is a dynamic field within neuropharmacology. Unfortunately, many that show promise in preclinical studies fail demonstrate significant clinical benefits human trials, leading their exclusion as therapeutic options. This discrepancy may stem from categorical interpretation and results. Basic researchers often assume non-human experimental animals exhibit less phenotypic variability than humans. belief overlooks interindividual phenotype variation, thereby conclusions being drawn experiments. Consequently, when trials are conducted, expect similarly conclusive If these results not achieved, nutraceutical deemed ineffective use, even if numerous individuals might benefit. In our study, we evaluated whether analyzing similarity through non-categorical methods could help identify rotenone (ROT)-treated rats benefit consuming nano-emulsified punicic acid (Nano-PSO), prevention "parkinsonism" or restoration neurometabolic function inconsistent across individuals. Our findings supported this hypothesis. Nano-PSO were categorical; however, variance allowed us ROT varying degrees consumption. Hence, translational potential basic science testing pharmaceutical products against neurodegeneration also interpret using data analysis population screening, overall outcomes entire internal inconsistencies.

Aging is a natural process resulting in the progressive impairment of multiple functions human body, leading to decline cellular functionality and development aging-related diseases. External stress factors, such as ultraviolet (UV) radiation, pollution, toxin exposure, increase oxidative stress, damage repair mechanisms, speed up aging processes. With rise world’s population, there are enlarged demands for use sustainable products food, nutrient supplements cosmetics that can slow down prolong healthy life longevity. Algae, including both macroalgae microalgae, have been recognised source valuable proteins, amino acids, fatty vitamins, minerals useful consumption medical applications. increasing nutraceutical pharmaceutical bioproducts from environmentally friendly resources, biotechnological industry, over recent decades, has had provide new, advanced solutions using modern high-throughput omics technologies. The application proteomics area discoveries with anti-aging properties become more popular wide industry New profiling provides better understanding changes occurring protein peptide content, their structure, function interactions, well regulatory processes molecular pathways. Mass spectrometry-based used range applications identification, characterisation, quantification proteins within proteome sub-proteome. chemical facilitated identification approach included synthesis probes target fishing, allowing interest. This review focuses on marine macro- microalgal compounds novel approaches, providing experimental evidence involvement should facilitate innovative approaches

Neurodegenerative diseases (NDDs) such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease are increasing globally represent a significant cause of age-related death in the population. Recent studies emphasize strong association between environmental stressors, particularly dietary factors, brain health neurodegeneration unsatisfactory outcomes. Despite ongoing efforts, efficiency current treatments for NDDs remains wanting. Considering this, nootropic foods with neuroprotective effects high interest part possible long-term therapeutic strategy to improve alleviate NDDs. However, since it is new emerging area food neuroscience, there limited information on mechanisms challenges consider this be successful intervention. Here, we seek address these gaps by presenting comprehensive review pathways or including mutual interactions governing metabolism, linkages NDDs, intake, properties foods. We also discuss in-depth intervention compounds patterns providing detailed exploration their action. Additionally, analyze demand, challenges, future directions development targeting

Background: Polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) are promising nutrients for the prevention and management of psychiatric disorders. Both animal experiments cohort studies have demonstrated antidepressant effects PUFAs, especially omega-3 PUFAs. However, inconsistent reports about specific types such as omega-6 still exist. Objectives: To assess PUFAs on mental disorders related symptoms explore potential mechanisms involving white matter microstructure. Methods: Leveraging 102,252 residents from UK Biobank, five PUFA measures depressive disorder anxiety were explored through Cox regression models with full adjustment possible confounders. Furthermore, brain microstructures also estimated using logistic multiple linear models, respectively. Results: In this study, plasma levels measured in quartile 4 associated lower risks incident compared lowest quartile, hazard ratios 0.80 [95% confidence interval] = [0.71, 0.90] total 0.86 [0.76, 0.97] 0.91] docosahexaenoic acid, 0.79 [0.70, 0.89] 0.77 [0.69, 0.87] linoleic acid. Similar associations observed between risk disorder. addition, high to occurrence several adverse psychological symptoms, DHA. Among included participants, 8780 individuals imaging information further neuroimaging analyses, significant observed. Conclusions: Thus, study provides population-based evidence support value interventions target (specifically PUFAs) improvement health.
