The ubiquitin-specific protease (UBP) family represents a type of deubiquitinase (DUB) that plays significant role in plant abiotic stress responses, growth, and development. Although UBP genes have been characterized many species, genome-wide systematic analysis the potential functions under stresses not yet reported rice (Oryza sativa L.). In this study, we identified 21 gene members genome rice, all which had UCH domains containing short but highly conserved Cys-box His-box. DUF4220 DUF594 domains, are found monocotyledonous plants, were unique. Phylogenetic suggested OsUBP7 OsUBP12 closest genetic relationships with AtUBP12 AtUBP13, implying might similar biological to AtUBP13. Synteny revealed OsUBP expanded through segmental duplication purifying selection. Meanwhile, they closer evolutionary plants. Additionally, an ABRE cis-element, was related abscisic acid (ABA) hormone response. Protein interaction OsUBP22 modulate regulation OsGCN5- OsADA2-mediated chromatin modification, OsUBP10 regulate salt modulating OsDNA2_4 stability. Specifically, expression profiles transcriptional levels 11 representative OsUBPs important OsUBP9 OsUBP17 drought cold stresses. ABSTRACT Brassica napus , commonly known as rapeseed or canola, is a major oil crop contributing over 13% to the stable supply of edible vegetable worldwide. Identification and understanding gene functions in B. genome crucial for genomic breeding. A group genes controlling agronomic traits have been successfully cloned through functional genomics studies . In this review, we present an overview progress made including availability germplasm resources, omics databases genes. Based on current progress, also highlight main challenges perspectives field. The advances contribute better genetic basis underlying complex will expedite breeding high quality, resistance yield varieties.
