Nitrogen and water are the primary resources limiting agricultural production worldwide. We have demonstrated ability of a novel halotolerant bacterial endophyte, Bacillus velezensis CBE, to induce osmotic stress tolerance in Brachypodium distachyon under nitrogen-deprived conditions. Additionally, we aimed identify molecular factors plants that contribute beneficial effects induced by B. CBE distachyon. To achieve this, conducted transcriptomic profiling using RNA-seq on 18-day-old seedlings treated with presence or absence available nitrogen, without stress. These profiles were then compared those obtained from known plant growth-promoting strains, Azospirillum brasilense Cd Azoarcus olearius DQS4, same growth identified differentially expressed genes (DEGs) response combinations strains treatments. Interestingly, only 73 transcripts showed significant differential expression CBE-treated conditions, 1,078 DEGs A. 2,015 DQS4. Our findings suggest endophyte mediates through fine-tuning mechanisms minimal transcriptional modifications.

Abiotic stresses are major constraints in crop production, and accountable for more than half of the total loss. Plants overcome these environmental using coordinated activities transcription factors phytohormones. Pearl millet an important C4 cereal plant having high nutritional value climate resilient features is grown marginal lands Africa South-East Asia including India. Among several factors, basic leucine zipper (bZIP) TF family associated with diverse biological functions plants. In this study, we have identified 98 bZIP members (PgbZIP) pearl millet. Phylogenetic analysis divided PgbZIP genes into twelve groups (A-I, S, U X). Motif has shown that all proteins possess conserved domains exon-intron organization revealed structural among genes. Cis-element analysis, RNA-seq data real-time expression suggested potential role selected growth/development abiotic stress responses Expression profiling PgbZIPs under various phytohormones (ABA, SA MeJA) treatment showed differential patterns Further, PgbZIP9, a homolog AtABI5 was found to localize nucleus modulate gene stresses. Our present findings provide better understanding lay good foundation further functional characterization multi-stress tolerant genes, which could become efficient tools improvement.

The negative impacts of soil salinization on ion homeostasis provide a significant global barrier to agricultural production and development. Plant physiology biochemistry are severely affected by primary secondary NaCl stress impacts, which damage cellular integrity, impair water uptake, trigger physiological drought. Determining how transcriptional factors (TFs) hormone networks regulated in plants response salt is necessary for developing crops that tolerate salt. This study investigates the complex mechanisms several TF families influence plant responses stress, involving AP2/ERF, bZIP, NAC, MYB, WRKY. It demonstrates these transcription help respond detrimental effects salinity modulating gene expression through including signaling, osmotic pathway activation, homeostasis. Additionally, it explores hormonal imbalances triggered entail interactions among phytohormones like jasmonic acid (JA), salicylic (SA), abscisic (ABA) within regulatory networks. review highlights role key salt-stress response, their interaction with hormones crucial genome-edited can enhance sustainability address food security challenges.

Numerous reports of graphene-family nanomaterials (GFNs) promoting plant growth have opened up a wide range promising potential applications in agroforestry. However, several toxicity studies raised growing concerns about the biosafety GFNs. Although these provided clues role GFNs from different perspectives (such as physiology, biochemistry, cytology, and molecular biology), mechanisms by which affect remain poorly understood. In particular, systematic collection data regarding differentially expressed genes response to GFN treatment has not been conducted. Abstract Asymmetric cell division (ACD) is a fundamental process that generates new types during development in eukaryotic species. In plant development, post‐embryonic organogenesis driven by ACD universal and more important than animals, which organ pattern preset embryogenesis. Thus, provides powerful system to study molecular mechanisms underlying ACD. During the past decade, tremendous progress has been made our understanding of key components involved this plants. The apetala2/ethylene response factor (AP2/ERF) gene family plays a crucial role in regulating plant growth and development responding to different abiotic stresses (e.g., drought, heat, cold, salinity). However, the knowledge of ERF pearl millet remains limited. Here, total 167 high-confidence PgERF genes are identified divided into five subgroups based on gene-conserved structure phylogenetic analysis. Forty-one pairs segmental duplication found using collinear Nucleotide substitution analysis reveals these duplicated under positive purification, indicating they actively natural selection. Comprehensive transcriptomic that genesare preferentially expressed imbibed seeds stem (tilling stage) respond salt stress. Prediction cis-regulatory element by PlantCARE program indicates involved responses environmental stimuli. Using reverse transcription quantitative real-time PCR (RT-qPCR), expression profiles eleven selected monitored various tissues during stresses. Transcript levels each exhibit significant changes stress treatments. Notably, PgERF7 is only candidate can be induced all adverse conditions. Furthermore, four (i.e., PgERF22, PgERF37, PgERF88, PgERF155) shown ABA-dependent signaling pathway. These results provide useful bioinformatic transcriptional information for understanding roles adaptation climate change.

Bacterial leaf streak caused by Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzicola (Xoc) is a continuous threat to rice cultivation, leading substantial yield losses with socioeconomic implications. Iron ions are essential mineral nutrients for plant growth, but little information available on how they influence mechanisms of immunity against Xoc. Here, we investigated the role myeloblastosis-related (MYB) transcriptional repressor OsMYBxoc1 in modulation resistance through control iron ion transport. Overexpression significantly increased resistance, whereas RNA-interference lines and knockout mutants showed opposite result. Suppression expression dampened immune response induced pathogen-associated molecular patterns. We demonstrated that binds specifically OsNRAMP5 promoter represses transcription OsNRAMP5.
