Abstract Objectives Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an inflammatory and autoimmune disease. Studies over the past two decades suggest that statins have a beneficial impact on complications associated with RA. These include RA disease activity risk for cardiovascular diseases (CVD). This review aims to discuss efficacy of statin therapy in Key findings The current evidence suggests statins' immunomodulatory antioxidant properties significantly reduce response patients In patients, CVD reduced by treatment, discontinuation increased risk. Summary combined effect improving vascular function, lowering lipid levels, reducing inflammation responsible decreased all-cause mortality users. Further clinical studies are needed ensure therapeutic

Background: Elevated concentrations of serum uric acid (SUA) are associated with several conditions, including cardiovascular disease. The present study aimed to estimate the impact statin therapy on SUA levels through a systematic review and meta-analysis clinical trials. Methods: PubMed, Embase, Web Science, Scopus were searched January 14, 2022, identify eligible intervention group received statins as monotherapy or in combination other drugs, control non-statins placebo. Studies reporting before after treatment selected for further analysis. Finally, data pooled, mean changes SUA, total cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein (HDL), low-density (LDL), triglycerides reported. Results: Out 1269 identified studies, 23 included review. A 3928 participants therapy, 1294 groups. We found significant reduction following (mean difference (MD) = -26.67 μmol/L 95% confidence interval (CI) [-44.75, -8.60] (P =0.004)). Atorvastatin (MD -37.93 [-67.71, -8.15]; P < 0.0001), pravastatin -12.64 [-18.64, -6.65]; simvastatin -5.95 [-6.14, -5.80]; but not rosuvastatin, significantly levels. An analysis comparing different types showed that 20-40 mg/day could reduce when compared 10-20 (-21.86 [-36.33,-7.39]; =0.003). Conclusion: Statins decrease levels, particularly atorvastatin, which was be most effective lowering SUA. may appropriate cholesterol-lowering agent patients at risk hyperuricemia.

Traumatic brain injury (TBI), often referred to as the "silent epidemic", is most common cause of mortality and morbidity worldwide among all trauma-related injuries. It associated with considerable personal, medical, economic consequences. Although remarkable advances in therapeutic approaches have been made, current treatments clinical management for TBI recovery still remain be improved. One factors that may contribute this gap existing therapies target only a single event or pathology. However, after involves various pathological mechanisms, including inflammation, oxidative stress, blood-brain barrier (BBB) disruption, ionic disturbance, excitotoxicity, mitochondrial dysfunction, neuronal necrosis, apoptosis. Statins several beneficial pleiotropic effects (anti-excitotoxicity, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-thrombotic, immunomodulatory activity, endothelial vasoactive properties) addition promoting angiogenesis, neurogenesis, synaptogenesis TBI. Supposedly, using agents such statins numerous diverse more effective than single-target approach management. The review was undertaken investigate summarize protective mechanisms against limitations conducted studies directions future research on potential application are also discussed.

Abstract A variety of mechanisms and drugs have been shown to attenuate cardiovascular disease (CVD) onset and/or progression. Recent researchers identified a potential role proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9) in modulating lipid metabolism reducing plasma low density lipoprotein (LDL) levels. PCSK9 is the central protein LDL cholesterol (LDL‐C) owing its major function receptor (LDLR) degradation. Due close correlation with levels, many vivo vitro investigations are currently underway studying physiological PCSK9. Furthermore, studies actively investigating various compounds that influence associated‐disorders their associated diseases. inhibitors significant impact prevention emerging Natural products can effectively be used as control levels through mechanisms. In this review, we evaluate phytochemicals natural regulation PCSK9, ability prevent Moreover, describe action, which not date delineated.

Protein phosphorylation is an important link in a variety of signaling pathways, and most the life processes cells involve protein phosphorylation. Based on amino acid residues phosphorylated proteins, kinases can be categorized into following families: serine/threonine kinases, tyrosine-specific histidine-specific tryptophan aspartate/glutamyl kinases. Of all are where that catalyze serine or threonine target proteins using ATP as phosphate donor. The current socially accepted classification to divide them seven major groups: kinase A, G, C (AGC), CMGC, Calmodulin-dependent (CAMK), Casein (CK1), STE, Tyrosine (TKL) others. After decades research, preliminary understanding specific respective functions has entered new period exploration. In this paper, we review literature previous years introduce pathways related therapeutic modalities played by each small family, respectively, some common cardiovascular system diseases such heart failure, myocardial infarction, ischemia-reperfusion injury, diabetic cardiomyopathy. To certain extent, research results, including molecular mechanisms methods, fully summarized systematic report made for prevention treatment future.
