The biological activity of resveratrol (3,5,4’-trihydroxy-trans-stilbene) has been the subject extensive study in treatment various diseases due to its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and anticancer activities, as well minimal toxicity side effects. It widely accepted that also antiviral activities. In this mini-review, we summarize resveratrol’s mechanisms. Since viral infections are often accompanied by inflammation, TLRs/NF-κB signaling pathways key common molecular mechanisms for exert anti-inflammatory

Resveratrol, a polyphenolic compound known for its diverse biological activities, has demonstrated multiple pharmacological effects, including anti-inflammatory, anti-aging, anti-diabetic, anti-cancer, and cardiovascular protective properties. Recent studies suggest that these effects are partly mediated through the regulation of macrophage polarization, wherein macrophages differentiate into pro-inflammatory M1 or anti-inflammatory M2 phenotypes. Our review highlights how resveratrol modulates polarization various signaling pathways to achieve therapeutic effects. For example, can activate senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP) pathway inhibit signal transducer activator transcription (STAT3) sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P)-YAP axes, promoting suppressing thereby inhibiting tumor growth. Conversely, it promote suppress by NF-κB activating PI3K/Akt AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) pathways, thus alleviating inflammatory responses. Notably, effect on is concentration-dependent; moderate concentrations tend while higher may favor polarization. This concentration dependence offers new perspectives clinical treatment but also underscores necessity precise dosage control when using resveratrol. In summary, exhibits significant potential in regulating treating related diseases.

The canonical cyclic GMP-AMP (cGAMP) synthase (cGAS)-Stimulator of Interferon Genes (STING) pathway has been widely recognized as a crucial mediator inflammation in many diseases, including tumors, infections, and tissue damage. STING signaling can also be activated cGAS- or cGAMP-independent manner, although the specific mechanisms remain unclear. In-depth studies on structural molecular biology have led to development therapeutic strategies involving modulators their targeted delivery. These may effectively penetrate blood-brain barrier (BBB) target multiple central nervous system (CNS) diseases humans. In this review, we outline both non-canonical pathways activation describe general associations between activity CNS diseases. Finally, discuss prospects for delivery clinical application agonists inhibitors, highlighting novel

Herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) is a globally widespread that causes and associates with wide range of diseases, including herpes encephalitis, keratitis, labialis. The interaction between HSV-1 the host involves complex immune response mechanisms, recognition viral invasion, maintenance latent infection, triggering reactivation. Antiviral therapy core treatment for infections. Meanwhile, vaccine development employs different strategies methods, several promising types have emerged, such as live attenuated, protein subunit, nucleic acid vaccines, offering new possibilities prevention infection. Moreover, can be modified into therapeutic vector gene tumour immunotherapy. This review provides an in-depth summary infection-associated innate adaptive responses, disease pathogenesis, current approaches, recent advances in development, applications cancer treatment. Through systematic multiple aspects HSV-1, this study aims to provide comprehensive detailed reference public on prevention, control, HSV-1.
