Abstract
Good
Laboratory
Practice
(GLP)
is
a
management
quality
control
system
that
encompasses
the
organizational
process
and
conditions
under
which
non-clinical
health
environmental
studies
are
carried
out.
According
to
World
Health
Organization,
GLP
must
contain
five
topics:
resources,
characterization,
rules,
results,
control.
This
work
aims
address
review
according
WHO
standards
of
implementing
Practices
in
zebrafish
(Danio
rerio)
vivariums.
Considering
promotion
one
(animal,
human,
environmental)
associated
with
an
education
plan,
protocols,
records
fundamental
guarantee
safety
integrity
employees,
animals,
environment
as
well
reliability
results
generated.
In
way,
Brazil
still
needs
improvements
related
well-being
aquatic
organisms
(national
laws,
international
agreements,
corporate
programs,
others),
especially
concerning
its
use
research
technological
development.
this
implementation
GLPs
provides
valuable
guidance
for
improving
animal
welfare
worker
safety,
facilitating
standardization
research.

Good
practice
for
the
housing
and
care
of
laboratory
zebrafish
Danio
rerio
is
an
increasingly
discussed
topic,
with
focus
on
appropriate
water
quality
parameters,
stocking
densities,
feeding
regimes,
anaesthesia
analgesia
practices,
methods
humane
killing,
more.
One
area
current
attention
around
provision
environmental
enrichment.
Enrichment
accepted
as
essential
requirement
meeting
behavioural
needs
improving
welfare
many
animal
species,
but
in
general,
minimal.
Some
those
involved
use
suggest
there
a
‘lack
evidence’
that
enrichment
has
benefits
this
or
cite
belief
do

‘need’
Concerns
are

sometimes
raised

Abstract
Growing
research
effort
has
shown
that
physical
enrichment
(PE)
can
improve
fish
welfare
and
validity.
However,
the
inclusion
of
PE
does
not
always
result
in
positive
effects
conflicting
findings
have
highlighted
many
nuances
involved.
Effects
are
known
to
depend
on
species
life
stage
tested,
but
may
also
vary
with
differences
specific
items
used
as

studies.
Reporting
fine‐scale
characteristics

help
reveal

factors.

Abstract
With
the
rapid
development
of
aquaculture
and
gradual
decrease
in
fishery
resources,
aquatic
animal
welfare
(AAW)
has
received
increasing
attention
from
protection
organisations,
government
departments,
biologists,
fish
culturists
consumers.
Although
environmental
enrichment
(EE)
can
potentially
benefit
AAW,
relevant
results
are
sharply
mixed,
drivers
for
these
discrepancies
largely
unclear.
In
this
study,
we
conducted
a
series
meta‐analyses
to
overcome
knowledge
gap.
We
firstly
compiled
full
data
set,
consisting
1171
effect
sizes
147
studies
across
82
species
then
performed
multilevel
mixed‐effects
model
evaluate
overall
size
conduct
subsequent
meta‐regression
analyses.
Overall,
our
showed
that
animals
physically
enriched
environment
had
significantly
improved
AAW
compared
with
their
counterparts
barren
environments.
For
moderators,
specific
traits,
taxa,
stages,
types
colours
strong
positive
EE
effects
on
AAW.
Subsequently,
constructed
set
reran
meta‐analysis,
yielding
substantially
similar
those
obtained
using
set.
Finally,
multi‐model
inference
identify

ABSTRACT
One
of
the
most
prevalent
axes
behavioral
variation
in
both
humans
and
animals
is
risk
taking,
