ABSTRACT Relationships between multiple sleep outcomes, obesity and adiposity across childhood adolescence have been previously reported. Health‐promoting interventions to improve reduce adolescent could target shared determinants of obesity. The aim this systematic review was systematically identify examine research that investigated the poor increased or in adolescents. A literature search covering publications up April 2024 conducted 10 bibliographic databases. Search terms included objective subjective sleep/circadian rhythm measurements, measurements adolescents aged 8–18 years. Eighty studies were final review. Determinants categorised into three different domains: socioenvironmental determinants, behavioural health determinants. Shared years included: (gender, ethnicity, pubertal status, academic attainment), (timing moderate‐to‐vigorous physical activity (MVPA), unhealthy diet choices timing consumption screen time videogaming quantity timing) (wellbeing). These findings suggest hygiene modifiable should be targeted health‐promoting interventions, statistical analyses adjusted for wellbeing.

Screen time among children in most European countries is notably high and influenced by various sociodemographic other factors. Our study aimed to explore the associations between parents’ characteristics, socioeconomic status, body mass index (BMI), physical activity, risk status for type 2 diabetes, their children’s BMI, screen time. The data were sourced from 2016 Feel4Diabetes study, involving 12,280 parents 12,211 aged 6–9 years (average age 8.21 years) a cross-sectional design. We used logistic regression model identify potential factors associated with results showed that mothers tertiary education (OR = 0.64; 95%CI 0.49–0.82; p < 0.001), middle group (45–54 0.81 0.66–0.98; 0.033), families higher incomes (middle–OR 0.85; 0.75–0.97; 0.014; high–OR 0.8; 0.69–0.93; 0.003) decreased chance of spending more than h/day front screen. In contrast, maternal overweight/obesity 1.15; 1.03–1.29; 0.013) lower activity linked an increased likelihood h per day. findings suggest targeted interventions should be developed mitigate excessive time, particularly focusing on low-income low educational levels.
