Recent studies have demonstrated that postbiotics possess bioactivities comparable to those of probiotics. Therefore, our experiment aimed evaluate the effects derived from Enterococcus faecium on growth performance and intestinal health growing male minks. A total 120 minks were randomly assigned 4 groups, each with 15 replicates 2 The in groups fed a basal diet supplemented 0 (control), 0.05, 0.1, 0.15% E. (PEF), respectively. Compared control, PEF improved feed/gain (F/G) during first weeks entire 8 study ( p < 0.05); addition, 0.1% average daily gain (ADG) 0.05), while ADG 0.05). Consequently, displayed greater body weight (BW) at had BW week 0.05) than control. Furthermore, compared both 0.05 enhanced apparent digestibility crude protein (CP) ether extract (EE) initial weeks, 0.1 CP DM final Additionally, trypsin activity was elevated control In terms morphology, increased villus height villus/crypt (V/C) jejunum decreased crypt depth V/C duodenum group. Supplementation SIgA levels but IL-2, IL-8, TNF-α relative abundances Serratia Fusobacterium conclusion, results indicate performance, digestibility, immunity, intestine development are considerably affected by postbiotics. particular, dietary supplementation provides benefits 0.15%.

An increasing trend toward harnessing nutraceuticals as food supplements rather than pharmaceuticals curative and preventive agents against various ailments has been observed. Owing to their health benefits, prebiotics have received notable attention from the pharmaceutical industries. Among different prebiotic oligosaccharides, xylooligosaccharides (XOS) exhibited a remarkable capacity stimulate growth of gut microbiota benefit individuals with metabolic abnormalities. Additionally, XOS can be produced renewable agricultural wastes, which supports economic feasibility for use at industrial level. This review explains microbiome modulation based on in vivo, vitro, clinical findings. Gut leads production postbiotics that beneficial effects. The current entails mechanisms health-promoting activities mediated by XOS, including immunomodulation anticancer concept converting synbiotics using established nutraceutical applications. Synbiotics probiotics may good alternatives improving human health.

Background/Objectives: Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) and Fungal (SIFO) are distinct yet often overlapping conditions characterized by an abnormal increase in microbial populations within the small intestine. SIBO results from overgrowth of colonic bacteria, while SIFO is driven fungal overgrowth, primarily involving Candida species. Both present with nonspecific gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms such as bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, malabsorption, making differentiation between challenging. This review aims to elucidate underlying mechanisms, risk factors, diagnostic challenges, management strategies associated SIFO. Methods: A comprehensive current literature was conducted, focusing on pathophysiology, modalities, therapeutic approaches for Results: commonly factors reduced gastric acid secretion, impaired gut motility, structural abnormalities like bowel obstruction diverticula. It frequently diagnosed using jejunal aspirates (≥105 colony forming units (CFUs)/mL) or breath tests. In contrast, linked prolonged antibiotic use, immunosuppression, microbiome dysbiosis, diagnosis relying cultures intestinal due absence standardized protocols. Conclusion: The clinical overlap frequent misdiagnosis highlight need improved tools a multidisciplinary approach management. emphasizes importance understanding mechanisms behind SIFO, how they relate other health outcomes, potential optimize patient care outcomes.

In the rapidly evolving gut and gastroenterological research field, postbiotics, a fermentation byproduct, are emerging as cutting-edge alternative in nutraceutical pharmaceutical environment. These functional bioactive components, which include muropeptides, extracellular polymeric substances (EPS), teichoic acids, polysaccharides, cell-free supernatants, short-chain fatty enzymes, bactericidal antibiotics, vitamins, play an important role immune system development. This review explores intricate pathways through microorganisms produce metabolites that contribute to health-promoting properties of postbiotics. Postbiotics have variety appealing qualities, including anticancer, antibacterial, immunological actions. Their multiple effects influencing responses, decreasing cancer cell growth, preventing bacterial infections. presence dairy plant-based meals is noteworthy, it provides perfect matrix for varied range antibacterial chemicals. article delves into enhancing understanding concept therapeutic postbiotics promoting human health.
