Epigenetics, which focuses on controlling gene expression without altering DNA sequences, offers promising avenues for innovative treatment. Leading anti-tumour therapeutic strategies typically involve surgery and radiotherapy for locally advanced (non-metastatic) cancers, while hormone therapy, chemotherapy, molecular targeted therapy are the current treatment options metastatic cancer.
