Abstract There has been an intense surge in interest the search for alternative sources of petroleum fuels modern world as a result inflation fuel prices and historic supply gap. When compared to fuels, biodiesel is becoming increasingly valuable option due fact that it produces less emissions provides almost same amount energy. In point fact, prime aim this work explore possibility utilizing derived from lemongrass oil including dibutyl ether additive test diesel engine operating on varied compression ratios. The findings showed best settings are 17.5 ratio with blend 30% 70% fuel. At greater loads, brake thermal efficiency lower than engines. Lower loads specific usage. Mechanical at higher highest B30 blend, but emission metrics such CO, CO 2 , HC, NOx were reduced inclusion additive, though HC rose blends. various composition additives, + 4% fourth load terms both power mechanical efficiency.

Environmental and energy sustainability concerns have catalyzed a global transition toward renewable biofuel alternatives. Among these, biodiesel stands out as promising substitute for conventional diesel in compression-ignition engines, providing compatibility without requiring modifications to engine design. A comprehensive understanding of biodiesel’s physical properties is crucial accurately modeling fuel spray, atomization, combustion, emissions engines. This study focuses on predicting the PODL20 EB100, including liquid viscosity, density, vapor pressure, latent heat vaporization, thermal conductivity, gas diffusion coefficients, surface tension, all integrated into CONVERGE CFD library improved combustion simulations. Subsequently, numerical simulations were conducted using predicted biodiesels, validated by experimental in-cylinder pressure data. The prediction models demonstrated excellent alignment with results, confirming their accuracy simulating spray dynamics, processes, turbulence, ignition, emissions. Notably, significant improvements key parameters, such cylinder release rate, recorded use biodiesels. Specifically, rates EB100 reached 165.74 J/CA 140.08 J/CA, respectively, compared 60.2 fuel. Furthermore, when evaluating both soot NOx emissions, displayed more balanced performance, achieving reduction 34.21% alongside moderate increase 45.5% In comparison PODL20, reductions 20.4% 3% also noted.
