A proportions odds ratio was performed random effects model. Heterogeneity investigated test subgroup differences 95 % prediction intervals. included 401 studies, representing 458,754 participants across 58 countries. Pooled depression 28.5 (95 CI: 26.3–30.7), anxiety 28.7 26.5–31.0), PTSD 25.5 22.5–28.5), alcohol substance use disorder 25.3 13.3–39.6) insomnia 24.4 19.4–29.9). Prevalence rates were stratified by physicians, nurses, allied health, support staff students, which varied considerably. There significantly higher women, those working high-risk units providing direct care. Majority used self-report measures reflected rather than actual diagnosis.
