Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) is an important source of oil and food around the world, testa color affects its appearance commercial value. However, few studies focused on mechanism pigment formation in peanut testa. In this study, cultivars Shanhua 15 with pink Zhonghua 12 red were used as materials to perform combined analysis transcriptome metabolome. A total 198 flavonoid metabolites detected, among which petunidin 3-O-glucoside cyanidin O-acetylhexoside Zhonghua12 15.23 14.72 times higher than those at R7 stage, revealing anthocyanins underlying Transcriptome showed that there 6059 3153 differentially expressed genes between different growth periods, respectively. These significantly enriched biosynthesis, biosynthesis secondary metabolites, metabolic pathways. Integrated metabolome indicated CHS gene (arahy.CM90T6), F3 H (arahy. 8F7PE4 arahy. K8H9R8), DFR LDV9QN X8EVF3) may be key functional controlling peanut. Oligomeric Proanthocyanidins (OPCs), as a class of compounds widely found in plants, are particularly abundant grapes and blueberries. It is polymer comprising many different monomers, such catechins epicatechins. The monomers usually linked to each other by two types links, A-linkages (C-O-C) B-linkages (C-C), form the polymers.
