Abstract Chemical pollution in coastal waters, particularly from agricultural runoff organophosphates, poses a significant threat to marine ecosystems, including coral reefs. Pollutants such as chlorpyrifos (CPF) are widely used agriculture and have adverse effects on life humans. In this paper, we investigate the impact of CPF metamorphosis reef fish model, clownfish Amphiprion ocellaris , focusing disruption thyroid hormone (TH) signalling pathways. Our findings reveal that by reducing TH levels, exposure impairs formation characteristic white bands larvae, indicative progression. Interestingly, treatment can rescue these effects, establishing direct causal link between effect disruption. The body shape changes occurring during also impacted exposure, less advanced CPF-treated larvae than control conditions. Moreover, transcriptomic analysis elucidates CPF’s all components pathway. Additionally, induces systemic cholesterol vitamin D metabolism, DNA repair, immunity, highlighting its broader TH-independent impacts. often overlooked Developing enhancing models, offers more comprehensive understanding how chemical affects ecosystems. This approach provides new insights into complex mechanisms underlying toxicity metamorphosis, shedding light environmental pollutants organisms. Neurodegenerative diseases (NDs) are a type of common chronic progressive disorders characterized by damage to specific cell populations in the nervous system, ultimately leading disability or death. Effective treatments for these still lacking, due limited understanding their pathogeneses, which involve multiple cellular and molecular pathways. The triggering an immune response is feature neurodegenerative disorders. A critical challenge intricate interplay between neuroinflammation, neurodegeneration, responses, not yet fully characterized. In recent years, cyclic GMP-AMP synthase (cGAS)-stimulator interferon gene (STING) pathway, crucial intracellular DNA sensing, has gradually gained attention. However, roles this pathway within types such as cells, glial neuronal its contribution ND pathogenesis, remain elucidated. review, we systematically explore how cGAS-STING signaling links various with related effector pathways under context NDs multifaceted therapeutic directions. We emphasize discovery condition-dependent heterogeneity integral diverse responses potential targets. Additionally, review pathogenic role activation Parkinson's disease, ataxia-telangiectasia, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. focus on complex bidirectional Alzheimer's Huntington's sclerosis, revealing double-edged nature disease progression. objective elucidate pivotal pathogenesis catalyze new insights facilitating development novel strategies.

The liver, a complex parenchymal organ, possesses distinctive microcirculatory system crucial for its physiological functions. An intricate interplay exists between hepatic disturbance and the manifestation of pathological features in diverse liver diseases. This review updates main characteristics disturbance, including sinusoidal capillarization, narrowing space, portal hypertension, angiogenesis, as well their formation mechanisms. It also summarized detection methods microcirculation. Simultaneously, we have reviewed diseases such acute failure, ischemia-reperfusion injury, viral hepatitis, non-alcoholic fatty disease, fibrosis, cirrhosis, hepatocellular carcinoma. Finally, this summarizes advancement microcirculation attributed to traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) active metabolites, providing novel insights into application TCM treating

Acute kidney injury induced by stings from multiple wasps is a medical emergency and driving factor of acute renal dysfunction. Numerous studies have shown that mitochondrial reactive oxygen species (mtROS) play key role in ischemia-reperfusion injury-, cisplatin-, sepsis-induced injury. However, the mtROS its underlying mechanisms wasp-venom-induced remain inconclusive. In this study, we investigated damage inflammation mouse model using wasp venom. Changes function, transcription A (TFAM) expression, DNA maintenance levels, stimulator interferon gene (STING) inflammatory mediator levels mice with or without scavenger Mito-Tempo were analyzed vivo. Downregulation reversed dysfunction, reduced STING expression kidneys mice. The suppression also improved decrease TFAM copy numbers summary, existing evidence study shows contribute significantly to

T-2 toxin induces cell immunotoxicity by triggering an intracellular hypoxic microenvironment and activates hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α), which exerts cellular protective effects. Mycotoxins can also induce senescence. The aging of immune function, termed "immunosenescence," is important factor in the decline biological immunity accelerates However, mechanism underlying toxin-induced immunosenescence remains unclear. This study aimed to elucidate roles HIF-1α cGAS-STING signaling this process uncover mechanisms through impacts cytoskeletal integrity senescence using a RAW264.7 macrophage model. cells were treated with (14 nM) for 1–24 h.
