This paper evaluates the impact of climate policy uncertainty on renewable and non-renewable energy consumption in United States over quarterly data from 2000Q1 to 2021Q3. Economic growth crude oil prices are added functions as control variables. The considers several approaches model both demand. It is found that promote demand reduces it. Surprisingly, economic positive but insignificant. also observed promotes demand, reduce Furthermore, positively affects long run. Some implications provided for reducing promoting use through implementation.

The increased concerns over climate change led to a large body of literature that examined the impact energy and economic growth on carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions per capita. majority existing studies employed various linear panel estimation techniques ignoring potential nonlinear effects income CO2 To fill this gap, study uses data consisting 97 countries between 1995 2015 examines renewable, non-renewable consumption, capita by using dynamic threshold model is robust cross-section dependence. Our findings indicate effect in renewable consumption negative significant if surpass certain consumption. This finding mainly holds for developed with stronger institutions use an alternative proxy highlight fact would only reduce

The share electricity production primary consumption was assessed, its over interpreted. interest has been increasing regularly years. By evaluating data, it observed that energy's installed power have increased significantly determined period. Renewable is great importance for sustainable development. However, even today, fossil fuels highest consumption. addition, use worldwide are increasing. While 0.24 Gtoe world's met from sources 2012, value to 0.95 2021. Also, approximately 7.4% total 2016; rate 12.8% more intense EU countries compared other parts world, widespread world.

The overcoming of the issues on energy crisis and inequality have become priorities as far developing developed countries are concerned. Moreover, has increased due to shortage natural gas rising prices in retaliation economic recovery affected by COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims verify linkage between growth renewable consumption country’s advancement. In this context, paper determines main driving forces European during 2000–2018. annual data for panel regression analysis retrieved from OECD. Stat World Bank Open Data. empirical employed a set estimation procedures such unit root test (Levin, Lin & Chu; Im, Pesaran, Shin W-Stat; ADF-Fisher Chi-square; PP-Fisher Chi-square methods), Pearson correlation, fixed- random-effects models, generalized method moments (GMM), Hausman robustness tests. results ratified that fixed-effects model is more suitable involved balanced data. GMM identified statistically significant positive relationship share total final consumption, GDP per capita, CO2 emissions capita overall sample. turn, labor force, gross capital formation, production-based intensity inversely related consumption. effects could provide some insights policymakers improve sector towards gaining sustainable development.
