Decarbonization of all segments energy systems, both on the supply and demand side, is one main goals transition. Remote islands, comprising over one-sixth of the Earth's surface area and home to approximately 9% global population, face formidable challenges in securing affordable, sustainable, reliable energy. This paper presents a pioneering investigation into Mornington Island's transition from diesel reliance renewable energy predominance next four decades. By demonstrating tangible benefits implementation on Island, this research provides compelling simulated evidence that blending traditional sources can revolutionize provision for small island communities. Employing hybrid Wind-Solar systems bolstered by an effective battery storage system (ESS), innovative approach ensures seamless shift energy, resilient against seasonal variations extreme weather events such as cyclones. Our analysis, conducted through tech-economic model simulating each 5% increment penetration, reveals outperforms generation terms affordability 40-year operational span. Specifically, 95% penetration yields lowest levelized cost ($162.2/MWh), resulting remarkable $8.54 million reduction costs. A component secures annual supply, bridging gap during periods variability cyclonic weather. While achieving 100% is financially feasible, arise scaling capacity stabilize supply cyclone seasons. Moreover, our carbon accounting indicates although construction infrastructure entails some indirect (Scope 3) emissions, mitigates emissions 90% compared generation, amounting 39.17 kilotons period. comprehensive study policymakers with invaluable insights, fostering holistic understanding financial, technical, environmental, political dimensions inherent transitions.

Effective waste management is crucial in addressing global environmental challenges. This study focuses on optimizing biogas production through anaerobic digestion of poultry manure, which a significant agricultural Côte d’Ivoire. The aim to identify the optimal manure-to-water ratio maximize output using FONSTI-CRDI digester with capacity 20 m³. was conducted at Brin Foundation farm Three ratios (1:3, 1:2, and 1:1) were tested over 15-day cycles. A range laboratory field equipment, including pH meters analyzers, employed monitor conditions measure production. Abstract Regarding sustainability, affordability, and material consumption, dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) are among the finest solutions for addressing pressing need to develop renewable energy sources. The current work reports, a straightforward electrochemical approach synthesizing CuO/Al2O3 nanocomposite. Investigates their structure, morphology, crystallinity, power conversion efficiency (PCE) as efficient low-cost photo-anode electrodes (DSSCs), was characterized by atomic force microscopy (AFM), Transmission electron (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), UV-Vis spectroscopy current-voltage (I-V) performance. optical band gap determined be 3.18 eV. parameters, including Voc, Isc, FF, ɳ, were derived from I-V curves. values of fabricated DSSCs (0.65%, 0.83%, 0.78%, 1.9232%) ( Rossel, Chlorophyll, Methylene MB, red dye MR) respectively. results indicate that MR nanocomposite most effective sensitizer photoanode all evaluated alternatives.

Abstract The reliability‐oriented optimized sizing and placement of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations (EVCSs) has received less attention. In addition, the literature review shows that a research gap exists regarding clustering‐based method to optimize allocation DGs EVCSs, considering system uncertainties. This article tries fill such knowledge by proposing new EVs simultaneously, uncertainties EV behaviours stochastic renewable DGs. Developing model for using clustering algorithm is one essential contributions. uncertain parameters, e.g. loads based on owners’ (arrival time, departure driving distance) DGs, would be clustered. proposed could solve execution time challenges Monte Carlo simulation‐based approaches concern smart grids. simultaneously optimal protection equipment, another main contribution.
