The inferior mechanical performance and freeze–thaw (FT) resistance of recycled concrete are mostly due to the significant water absorption porosity coarse particles. The article aims to present the results of research on anaerobic digestion (AD) waste wafers (WF - control) and co-substrate system cheese (WFC control), combined with digested sewage sludge. aim study was evaluate physicochemical parameters chitosan/perlite (Ch/P; 3:1) carrier material verify its effect directions change bacterial microbiome, removal kinetics organic matter AD process efficiency. experiment conducted in a laboratory, periodical mode operation bioreactors, under mesophilic conditions. analyses morphological-dispersive, spectroscopic, adsorption, thermal microbiological properties confirmed that tested can be an excellent option implement biotechnological processes, especially digestion. microstructural were influenced by both components: perlite determined development specific surface area, while chitosan shaped porosity system. less heat-resistant component, threefold higher weight proportion, i.e. chitosan. evaluation quantitative qualitative changes genetic diversity communities, carried out using Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), showed has modifying microbiome.
