Most plastic waste generated from consumption cannot be recycled and is destroyed by burning. As a result of burning plastics, microplastics spread into the atmosphere, increasing air pollution. Respiratory diseases chronic health problems are caused Approximately 7 million people die each year due to pollution-related ailments. Therefore, it crucial provide empirical evidence rather than approximate estimates role in deaths. Also, understanding causes deaths demonstrating policies' effectiveness will valuable insights for policymakers, international community, researchers. This study investigates effects consumption, expenditures, natural resources, economic complexity, renewable energy on pollution USA 1995 2019 using novel Fourier Augmented ARDL method. The findings show that complexity increase deaths, while decreases it. Such imply an essential determinant mortality, policy must reconsidered, efficient use resources important sophisticated structures do not always produce desired results. Overall, policymakers should review policies reduce take measures support green growth tools.

Over the past few decades, ecological damage has been humanity's greatest threat. It is possible that factors such as green technology innovation, environmental policy, and renewable energy consumption can play an essential role in process of achieving sustainability. Therefore, present study aims to investigate impact consumption, along with economic growth, trade openness, urbanization, on sustainability presence Kuznets curve hypothesis for a group G-7 economies from 1994 2018. For this purpose, we employed long-run mean estimation approaches (FMOLS, DOLS, FE-OLS) Panel Quantile Regression technique produce heterogeneous results at various levels footprint. The panel quantile regression findings report urbanization promote by reducing footprint all quantiles. However, effect statistically insignificant 10th quantile. Further, significant positive growth negative square confirms hypothesis. Moreover, indicate openness stimulates and, result, reduces estimates are similar outcomes. suggest countries need well-designed strict policies emphasize help these increase share compared non-renewable technological innovation through financial aid, stringent policy instruments (e.g., taxes) ensure

Purpose The study examines the effect of natural resources (NRs) and control corruption, voice accountability regulatory quality on carbon emissions in Africa. Aside from their individual effects, moderation institutional is assessed. Design/methodology/approach Data 32 African countries 2002 to 2021 fully modified ordinary least squares (FMOLS) dynamic (DOLS) regression methods were used for investigation. Findings In long term, NRs sensitive estimation technique employed. However, framework, robust corruption abate any positive emissions. Institutional can be argued moderate CO2-emitting potentials resource extraction selected countries. Practical implications Enhancing regulation quality, enforcing empowering citizens towards greater participation governance demanding are essential catalyst effectively mitigate CO2 resulting NRs. Originality/value NR–carbon emission nexus examined.
