The
global
demand
for
metallic
mineral
resources
has
been
rising
constantly
not
only
due
to
the
world's
continued
population
growth,
but
also
accelerated
by
recently
proclaimed
'green
energy
transition'
aiming
replace
fossil
fuels
wind,
solar,
hydrogen,
and
geothermal
energy.
current
situation
causes
a
dilemma
as
supply
of
is
limited
and,
at
least
when
this
article
was
written,
most
critical
metals
neither
can
be
substituted
nor
recycled
economically
industrial
scale.
As
consequence,
must
considered
non‐renewable
commodities.
This
study
documents
main
applications
risks
with
special
emphasis
on
their
respective
roles
green
(also
referred
media
clean
or
renewable)
transition.
In
summary,
natural
distribution
in
Earth's
upper
crust

Introduction

have
become
a
focal
point

investigation
into
evolution

trade
structures,

an
analysis

between
trade,
resource
endowments,
regional
dynamics,
and
geopolitical
competition,
is
crucial
for
nations
to
formulate
effective
policies
enhance
stability
development.
Methods
This
study
explores
trends

from

2022
based
on
complex
network

algorithm.
