The present work evaluates the proportional ratio of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) for improving thermal conductivity (k) paraffin wax (PW) and polymeric-paraffin with high-density polyethylene (PW/HDPE). k value is assessed at 40 °C, 60 °C 120 different MWCNT content (0–10 wt% MWCNT). measurement indicates varies significantly temperatures. study suggests that ideal limited to 6 wt%. justification based on suitable average PW (0.532–0.625 W·m-1·K-1) PW/HDPE (0.595–0.641 W·m-1·K-1). Active storage (ATS) evaluation shows significant improvement in rating performance PCM MWCNT. charge cycle increases by 39% a peak power 49.8 Watts PW. Unfortunately, melting intensification 240 h causes degradation due precipitation which disturbs dispersed particle within In contrast, composite maintains unsubstantial change after intensification, where obtained 40.6 40.1 before intensification.

Estimating the total thermal capacity for phase change material (PCM) as heat storage is extremely important to set proper operational parameter of latent tank (LST) unit. However, estimating solid–liquid PCM relatively complex due temperature-dependent properties each phase. Thus, predicting state charge (SoC) indicator LST unit technically complex. The common approach taken by fusion during melting process and monitoring working fluid temperature, which makes SoC estimation less accurate. present project proposes a reliable method with an affordable apparatus estimate simultaneously based on temperature low-temperature PCM. Moreover, sensible heating transition also estimated precisely energy balance at given temperature. developed employs widely available components cost possible further customization. Validation characterization are done comprehensibly comparing measurement from differential scanning calorimetry previous studies. results indicate suitable capacity, including partial fusion.

This work proposes new approach for recycling plastic to form stabilized-hexadecanoic acid (SHA) as material thermal storage technology (TST). Surface profile of SHA shows the is embedded effectively, maintaining chemical and phase structural remains identic with HA. The synthesized indicates a lower supercooling (2.2 °C) high latent heat capacity above 135 J/g. This study proposes a new model operation for an intermediate thermal storage (ITS) tank solar water heater system. It combines passive-charge active-discharge (PCAD) in single tank, potentially reducing the number of components system and improving net energy balance. The charge process is done by heating material using electric heater, which also suitable direct photovoltaic heating. temperature profile stabilized this stage shows close plateau line solid-liquid transition, indicating steady phase transition takes place. minimizes deviation between solid/liquid region, advantageous determining protocol. For discharge process, working fluid circulates from mantle side continues to inner resulting two-consecutive allows harness stored heat up 72.8%. achieved material, has better solidification mechanism. Thus, proposed PCAD able meet criteria ITS requires exchange during charge/discharge stage. finding demonstrates that simplification achievable. implication can be used as fundamental basis developing systems, including photovoltaic-heating systems where taken alternative instead electricity.

Abstract Hydropower, as a renewable energy source, holds significant potential for electricity generation. However, optimizing the design of hydropower penstocks to ensure efficient conversion remains complex challenge. This study aims address this gap by investigating optimal hydraulic calculations designing penstock system in Lampung, Indonesia, thereby contributing understanding micro engineering.
