Winter wheat constitutes a significant share of Armenia’s grain production, but can be severely affected by the spread fungal diseases. According to recent scientific studies, methods based on dynamics spectral signatures crops allow for timely detection early signs crop diseases, prevention epidemiological threats, and minimization economic losses. The paper addresses problem determining optimal monitoring periods phytopathogens across republic Armenia using these methods. study covers various regions Armenia, taking into account their climatic agronomic characteristics, as Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), weather conditions digital elevation model. data show potential timing key phenological stages in winter development, which is essential this type monitoring. Cartographic materials have been created indicate recommended start dates monitoring, average from 2018-2024. also outlines necessary steps improve outcomes proposed methodology, well actions implementing approach practice.

Assessing land use/land cover changes currently represents an important avenue for achieving a better understanding of the urbanization phenomenon. Various free datasets based on satellite imagery are available, but user should decide which one is most suitable their study area. The aim present paper to perform accuracy assessment built-up areas using four datasets: Corine Land Cover Backbone (CLC Backbone), High Resolution Layers (HRL)–Imperviousness, Esri and Dynamic World. case represented by 12 major metropolitan (MAs) in Romania have dynamic economic development urban expansion. Confusion matrices were created, following metrics been computed: overall (OA), kappa coefficient (k) (UA). analysis was performed three levels: entire surface MAs separately rural sides. results at level show that even though CLC 2018 extracting built (0.85 accuracy), HRL could also be used, as they share same values (0.67). Significant differences exist between areas. (0.87) than (0.84). other recorded variations has second greatest (0.81), while accurate, after Backbone, assessing In conclusion, best performance all levels analysis. significance lies datasets, levels. This aims help researchers decision makers choose dataset use changes. Additionally, having reliable may compute indicators used monitor Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The intertidal ecosystem serves as a critical transitional zone between terrestrial and marine environments, supporting diverse biodiversity essential ecological functions. However, these systems are increasingly threatened by climate change, rising sea levels, anthropogenic impacts. Accurately mapping ecosystems differentiating mangroves, salt marshes, tidal flats remains challenge due to inconsistencies in classification frameworks. Here, we present high-precision approach for using multi-source satellite data, including Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2, Landsat 8/9, integrated with the Google Earth Engine (GEE) platform, enable detailed of zones across China–ASEAN. Our findings indicate total area 73,461 km2 China–ASEAN, an average width 1.16 km. Analyses patch area, abundance, perimeter relationships reveal power-law distribution scaling exponent 1.52, suggesting self-organizing characteristics shaped both natural human pressures. offer foundational data guide conservation management strategies region’s novel perspective propel research on global coastal ecosystems.

Abstract The distylous plant Primula veris has long served as a model species for studying heterostyly, that is the occurrence of multiple floral morphs within population to ensure outcrossing. Habitat loss, reduced sizes, and climate change have raised concerns about impact these factors on morph ratios related consequences fitness heterostylous species. We studied deviation P. from isoplethy (i.e. equal frequency) in response size, landscape context climatic factors, based pan‐European citizen science campaign involving observations 28 countries. In addition, we examined relative frequency determine whether disrupt frequencies or specific an advantage over other. Theory predicts short‐styled S‐morphs long‐styled L‐morphs populations at equilibrium. However, data >3000 showed substantial significant excess (9% higher compared L‐morphs). Deviation equilibrium was substantially stronger smaller not affected by identity. Higher summer precipitation land use intensity were associated with increased prevalence S‐morphs. Five containing individuals exhibiting short homostyle phenotypes (with style anthers low positions) found. Genotyping CYP734A50 gene S locus, which determines length position , revealed no mutations this region. Our results unprecedented geographic sampling suggest changes may be responsible non‐equilibrium frequencies. This large‐scale initiative sets foundations future studies clarify unexpected due partial intra‐morph compatibility, disruption heterostyly survival Synthesis . Human‐induced environmental affect biodiversity indirectly through altering reproductive traits, can also lead genetic diversity. Further research should consider possible role pollinators mediating ecological evolutionary recent shifts traits.

Agriculture becomes one of the essential sectors in supporting food security. Nevertheless, many cases around world, vast urbanization often leads to an imbalance resource consumption and its carrying capacity including land. This paper explores status agricultural land from perspective spatial temporal dynamics Jombang District, Indonesia. is regions East Java Province that significantly contributes crop production. More than 50% use Yet, affected by several factors such as distance nearest city, industrialization, road infrastructure, built-up density, well government policy on planning might have some impacts during last years. To assess extrapolate existing future capacity, we conducted three analyses comprising following: (1) cover change; (2) ecological footprint biocapacity; eventually (3) capacity. All are based considering past, existing, future. The findings suggest policy, plan, programs should be maintained continually towards surplus LCC.
