Cysteine (Cys), homocysteine (Hcy) and glutathione (GSH) act as significant roles in many physiological processes, their abnormal proliferation will cause multiple diseases including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's Cardiovascular atherosclerosis, soft tissue damage. However, It is challenging work to develop a efficient method for differentiating detecting GSH, Cys Hcy because of similarity structures functions. In this work, smart fluorescent probe FBCN based on curcumin was rationally devised developed by etherifying the phenol hydroxyl group FBC with NBD-Cl, which emitted strong green at 516 nm. distinguished from Cys/GSH naked eyes color variation solution sunlight. Meanwhile, GSH induced powerful fluorescence quenching solution, but transformed luminous yellow accompanied emission wavelength redshifted nm 540 or 553 existence Cys, respectively. Probe had outstanding sensitivity anti-interference, low detection limit (61.6 nM, 77.7 0.29 µM corresponded Hcy, respectively), short response time (the 1 min, 2 min 5 respectively). The DFT calculation HRMS verified sensing mechanism biothiols. addition, successfully utilized detect three biothiols levels living cell zebrafish.
