The availability of soil water content and nutrition in the maternal plant environment plays pivotal roles shaping performance, physio-biochemical properties, chemical composition produced seed. This study aimed to investigate effects arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) on compositions Lallemantia species offspring. Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) production is constantly threatened by several fungal pathogens, such as Alternaria solani, the causal agent of early blight disease. In this study, a greenhouse experiment was set up to evaluate biocontrol ability arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) against A. solani in presence reduced doses fungicides (i.e., captan and copper oxychloride). Disease severity, plant growth traits, chlorophyll phosphorus content, phenolic compounds, antioxidant activity were assessed. The effects fungicide dose on AMF investigated root colonization, spore density, dependence evaluation. AMF-inoculated fungicide-treated plants disease severity compared non-mycorrhizal plants, most cases, regardless dose. improved growth, especially when combined with oxychloride. Background Arbuscular mycorrhiza (AM) refers to a symbiotic association between plant roots and fungi that enhances the uptake of mineral nutrients from soil enables tolerate abiotic biotic stresses. Although previously reported RNA-seq analyses have identified large numbers AM-responsive genes in model plants, such as Solanum lycopersicum L., further studies are underway comprehensively understand complex interactions AM, especially terms short- long-term responses after inoculation. Results Herein, we used technology obtain transcriptomes tomato inoculated with fungus Rhizophagus irregularis at 7 30 days post inoculation (dpi). Of 1,019 differentially expressed (DEGs) roots, 635 showed differential expressions mycorrhizal non-mycorrhizal associations two time points. The number upregulated DEGs far exceeded downregulated ones dpi, this difference decreased dpi. Several notable were particularly involved defense, growth development, ion transport, biological processes, namely, GABAT , AGP POD NQO1 MT4 MTA AROGP3 . In addition, Kyoto encyclopedia genomes pathway enrichment analysis revealed some different pathways, including those ascorbic acid ( AFRR GME1 APX ), metabolism CYP GAPC2 CAM2 sterols CYC1 HMGR well related cell division cycle CDKB2 PCNA ).
