Purpose:

ABSTRACT
The
growing
demand
for
water
in
agriculture
requires
a
thorough
assessment
of
quality
to
ensure
sustainable
irrigation
practices.
This
study
integrates
novel
approach,
the
method
removal
effects
criteria
(MEREC),
with
principal
component
analysis
(PCA),
which
delves
into
intricate
interplay
key
parameters
within
Karun
River
Basin,
vital
agricultural
region
Iran.

dissolved
solids
(TDS),
electrical
conductivity
(EC),
sodium
adsorption
ratio
(SAR),
permeability
index
(PI),
hardness
(TH),
percentage

magnesium
(MAR)

TDS
