The use and transformation of land by humans are the main cause increase in concentration carbon dioxide atmosphere. Using land-use data socioeconomic statistics for 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015, 2018, this study examines emissions from their intensity entire Yangtze River Delta Region. We constructed a spatial correlation network using modified gravity model to analyze characteristics correlations spillover effects emissions. Results reveal that: (1) differences gradually increased, whereas those emission narrowed 1995 2018; (2) high-degree centrality Shanghai, Wuxi, Suzhou indicated that they had always played leading roles 2018. Moreover, Shanghai Wuxi large radiation ranges together with Suzhou, Hangzhou, Changzhou, Nanjing, exhibited above-average betweenness 2018 strong bridging capabilities across network; (3) obvious effects. Our results can provide scientific basis an urban agglomeration perspective China's current economy into low-carbon one, as well realization regionally differentiated coordinated reduction.

<p>Technological progress, especially green innovation, is a key factor in achieving sustainable development and promoting economic growth. In this study, based on innovation value chain theory, we employ the location entropy, super-efficiency SBM-DEA model, improved entropy TOPSIS method to measure technological industry agglomeration, two-stage efficiency, quality index Yangtze River Delta city cluster, respectively. We then build spatial panel simultaneous cubic equation focusing interaction effects among three factors. The findings indicate: (1) There are significant links between cluster. (2) agglomeration mutually beneficial. R&amp;D stage, quality, compete with each other, while there mutual promotion transformation stage. (3) factors reveals heterogeneity of two stages. positive geographical spillover all related other. This paper can provide reference for direction path improving clusters worldwide.</p>

Understanding the dynamic relationship between ecosystem service supply and urbanization demand, identifying underlying influencing mechanisms are crucial for sustainable development in global process. However, current studies mainly focused on coupling coordination of situation, rather than system. Thus, we introduced concept degree (DCCD) to address research gap. This study calculated rates composite index (ESSCI) demand (UDDCI) from 2000 2020 construct DCCD model case Yangtze River Delta region. Subsequently, analysed inherent causing regional differences DCCD. Our results indicated that (1) ESSCI UDDCI showed spatiotemporal heterogeneity, rate had significant north south, decreased east west. (2) In 2020, notable existed northern southern region, with zone being lower. The situation improved 2005 2015. (3) Global habitat quality a impact coordination. north, annual water yield significantly influenced coordination, while carbon sequestration it. These factors related land use. We into old achieve goals.

The maintenance of critical natural capital stocks lays a basis for achieving sustainable development across the globe. However, rapid socioeconomic in Yangtze River Delta (YRD) region China has been somewhat conflict with sustainability capital, particularly domain land use. This, however, remains largely underexplored 41 cities partnering YRD. aim this paper is to bring clarity as YRD by using an improved three-dimensional footprint model, well explore underlying drivers spatial econometric models. We find that use most environmentally unsustainable long period time. Cropland recognized major source flows, experiencing low depletion stocks. By contrast, grazing found have poor appropriation suffering from severe Overall, both flows and at aggregate level remain relatively stable but geographically uneven, rich west north YRD, intensive northwest northeast In addition, proportion primary industry added value GDP per capita disposable income are identified YRD’s environmental unsustainability Our findings call renewed policies pinpoint land, fishing grounds cropland enable societal prosperity without accelerating capital.
