Antibiotics are highly effective bactericidal drugs that widely used in human medicine, aquaculture and animal husbandry. enter the aquatic environment through various routes due to low metabolic levels increased use. Not only antibiotics inherently toxic, but spread of potential drug resistance introduced has been identified by World Health Organization as one major threats risks global public health security. Therefore, how efficiently remove from water eliminate ecological safety hazards caused a hot topic recent years. There research methods for decontaminating with antibiotics. This paper reviews application biological, physical, chemical combined processes antibiotic pollution control. Moreover, this describes degradation mechanism, removal efficiency, influencing factors technical characteristics different detail. Finally, an outlook on future is provided help promote development technology.
