Lead contamination has posed a potential threat to the environment and food safety, arousing extensive concern. In this work, we fabricated novel fluorescent sensing platform based on zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 (ZIF-8) DNAzyme for monitoring Pb2+ in water fish samples. ZIF-8 was proposed as fluorescence quencher with advantages of simple synthesis, low cost, high quenching efficiency. The Pb2+-dependent GR5 containing large ssDNA loop can be adsorbed onto accompanied by quenching. Upon binding Pb2+, activated cleaved, leading release FAM-labeled 5-base ssDNA, which restored fluorescence. "turn-on" assay detect through one-pot procedure range 0.01-10.0 nM detection limit 7.1 pM. is promising on-site owing excellent performance sensitivity, background, strong anti-interference ability, operation.

Toxic wastes like heavy metals and dyes are released into the environment as a direct result of industrialization technological progress. The biosorption contaminants utilizes variety biomaterials. Biosorbents can adsorb toxic pollutants on their surface through various mechanisms complexation, precipitation, etc. quantity sorption sites that accessible biosorbent affects its effectiveness. Biosorption’s low cost, high efficiency, lack nutrient requirements, ability to regenerate main advantages over other treatment methods. Optimization environmental conditions temperature, pH, availability, factors is prerequisite achieving optimal performance. Recent strategies include nanomaterials, genetic engineering, biofilm-based remediation for types pollutants. removal hazardous from wastewater using biosorbents strategy both efficient sustainable. This review provides perspective existing literature brings it up-to-date by including latest research findings in field.
