Abstract North China leopard ( Panthera pardus japonensis ) is the most widespread subspecies of and one rare endangered species in China. Abstract Our research endeavors to evaluate the precise ramifications of climate change on Iran’s protected regions, utilizing species distribution modeling anticipate effects 394 bird species, 157 plant 72 reptiles, and 20 mammals across two scenarios: SSP245 SSP585 in 2070. Subsequently, we employed binary maps determine extent overlap between 125 areas, 27 wildlife refuges, 15 national parks distribution, quantifying proportion these areas encompassed by their distribution. We found that under scenario, 174 could experience a 319% expansion suitable habitats, while 220 decline 57.1%. Among plants, 16 are projected grow 40.3%, whereas 141 may decrease 68.8%. Reptiles an increase 279.1% 24 with 66.6% 48 witness significant 147.3% 5 but 71.8% species. Also, parks, coverage declines from 32.2% (current) 19.9%, plants 24.2 13.2%, reptiles 18.4 6.8%, 17.7 10%. In birds 9.7 5.7%, 10.9 4.6%, 12.9 2.5%, 7.4 4.3%. drop 29.3 20.4%, 27.7 12.5%, 18.7 9.7%, 12.1%. The low underscores importance re-evaluating potentially expanding ensure they encompass broader range particularly those underrepresented, enhance conservation biodiversity amidst challenges posed change.
