A comprehensive analysis of plankton and benthic communities, composition, structure quantitative characteristics indicate that the ecosystem Lake Kroshnozero has a eutrophic status or transitional one between β-mesotrophic α-eutrophic. Plankton communities are in stable state provide sustainable food base for planktivores fishes. slight decrease indicators benthos is possibly due to methodological features sampling underestimation littoral communities. The composition have been preserved since previous studies 50-90s last century. ichthyofauna includes 13 fish species. Whitefish, zander, vendace commercial importance. Fish secondary importance bream, perch, ruff, roach, pike. such as bleak, grayling sculpin, burbot relatively rare do not serve objects fishing. Model calculations productivity planktivores, benthophages predatory fish, taking into account losses 2.3 kcal/m 2 per season 22.6 kg/ha. average modelled ichthyomass 4.6 Possible catches third equal 7.5 To improve quality quantity stocks, recommendations given preserve conditions reproduction growth valuable fish.

The resource utilization of sheep dung from farming waste was evaluated in adsorption total phosphorus (TP). Four types modified activated carbon (SDAC) were prepared: SDAC without metal (SDAC-N), with lanthanum (SDAC-La), magnesium (SDAC-Mg), and La Mg (SDAC-La-Mg). various SDACs prepared tested the TP wastewater. main components SDAC-La-Mg surface MgO La2O3. rich functional groups such as CC CO acquired a negative charge. At 25 °C pH 4, capacity 1.94 mg/g. Among four adsorbents, exhibited highest capacity. by followed secondary kinetic Langmuir isothermal models, primarily through chemisorption mechanisms ion exchange, chemical precipitation, covalent bonding. regenerated, removal rate remained at 65% after three regeneration cycles. ions combine carboxylate to form ligand compounds, enabling displacing -OH group on an inner complex. Thus, can be used effective adsorbent for wastewater treatment.

The great application potential of hydrogel adsorbent in water treatment has been widely reported recent years. However, practical is severely restricted due to the tedious preparation procedures, high energy consumption, and environmental threat spent after adsorption. To address these challenges, a new method was proposed this study prepare granular composites through one-step polymerization induced phase separation (PIPS), initiated via redox reaction consisting with calcined oil shale semi-coke (COSSC) active ingredients green tea (GT) at 40 oC. Then applied remove NH4-N wastewater, adsorbing used as medium for plant growth. exhibited favorable swelling capacity 205 g/g excellent adsorption 40.2 mg/g NH4-N. Remarkably, process achieved equilibrium only within 30 min. avoid influence soil other factors, we conducted soilless cultivation experiment, results showed that total seed biomass mung bean increased by 33.69% adding 1% hydrogels into culture medium. Based on above performance, presented feasible idea offered promising strategy sustainable utilization adsorbent.

Research programs on Biodiversity-Ecosystem Functioning (BEF) and Food Web Structure (FWS) have contributed to understanding the impact of biodiversity functioning architecture ecosystems, but interconnectedness between these components was seldom attended until recently. Several theoretical hypotheses predict an interconnection BEF FWS were poorly independently evaluated. We estimated 63 sink food webs predatory fish in Parana River, covering a large gradient community richness. evaluated available their interrelationship through path analyses. A well-supported causal structure identified, supporting that species richness directly increased standing biomass, modularity, intermodular connection, whereas decreased interaction strength, connectance, nestedness. direct positive effect modularity connectance biomass indicates can determine BEF. Richness promotes increase also decrease due decay with similar negative effects biomass. In this sense, relationship diversity ecosystem cannot be blind FWS. Environmental homogenization reduction functional may undermine conditions for modular webs, switching ones potential cascading whole ecosystem.
