The normal growth and development of the human body is a critical highly sensitive process. Despite humans continuously developing throughout life, there are certain periods which more to adverse factors. These known as windows susceptibility include in utero (in womb), postnatal period, puberty, pregnancy menopause. During these mammary gland (breast) undergoes extensive development. Research suggests that exposure harmful chemicals such Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals (EDCs) during may adversely affect In case exposure, effects be programmed early but not manifest until adulthood. Limited research available on how chemical affects breast cancer risk. Yet some studies suggest risk increased, likely due altered gland.

Humans and other animals contain multitudes of microorganisms including bacteria, fungi, viruses, which make up a diverse microbiome. Across body sites skin, gastrointestinal tract, oral cavity there are distinct microbial niches that made trillions have co‐evolved to inhabit interact with the host. The microbiome also interacts changing environment. This tripartite interaction between host, microbiome, environment suggests communities play key role in biological processes such as development behaviors. Over past two decades, emerging research continues reveal how host microbe interactions impact nervous system signaling behaviors, influence neurodevelopmental, neurological, neurodegenerative disorders. In this review, we will describe unique features maternal exist during perinatal period discuss evidence for function offspring development. Finally, then postulate can modify early lasting on brain health.

Biosolids, derived from wastewater treatment processes, are valuable resources for soil amendment in agriculture due to their nutrient-rich composition. However, various contaminants of concern (CEC) such as pharmaceuticals, per-and poly-fluoroalkyl substances, endocrine disruptive chemicals, surfactants, pathogens, nanoplastics, and microplastics, also reported biosolids. The use biosolids may introduce these CEC into the soil, which raises concerns about environmental human health impacts. Moreover, presence pathogens (Escherichia coli, Salmonella sp., Shigella, Giardia, Rotavirus, etc.) even after calls microbial profiling biosolids, especially developing countries. Nanoparticles, defined by their nanoscale dimensions and unique physicochemical properties, are widely utilized in healthcare, electronics, environmental sciences, consumer products. However, increasing evidence of potential embryotoxic effects during pregnancy underscores the need for a molecular-level understanding interactions embryonic development. Nanoparticles such as titanium dioxide, silver, cerium oxide, copper quantum dots can cross placental barrier interfere with crucial developmental processes. At molecular level, they disrupt signaling pathways like Wnt Hedgehog, induce oxidative stress inflammation, cause genotoxic effects, all critical sensitive phases, organogenesis. Furthermore, these nanoparticles interact directly cellular components, including DNA, proteins, lipids, impairing function viability. Innovative strategies to mitigate nanoparticle toxicity, surface modifications incorporation biocompatible coatings, discussed solutions reduce adverse interactions. Various laboratory animal models used investigate nanoparticle-induced embryotoxicity evaluated efficacy limitations, providing insights into applicability effects. This Account examines mechanisms which compromise development emphasizes importance designing safer minimize maternal-fetal exposure risks, particularly biomedical applications.

Humans are ubiquitously exposed to complex mixtures of environmental chemicals (ECs). This study characterised changes in post-natal and peripubertal growth, the activation reproductive axis, male female offspring sheep a translationally relevant EC mixture (in biosolids), during pregnancy. Birthweight both sexes was unaffected by gestational biosolids exposure. In contrast females (unaffected), bodyweight males significantly lower than controls across period, however, they exhibited catch-up growth eventually surpassing controls. Despite weighing less, testosterone concentrations were elevated earlier, indicative early puberty males. contrasted with which mean date (first progesterone cycle) delayed. These results demonstrate that developmental EC-mixture exposure has sexually dimorphic effects on relationship between body size puberty. Such programmed metabolic/reproductive could have significant impacts human health wellbeing.

Over the past 50 years, there has been a concerning decline in male reproductive health and an increase infertility which is now recognised as major concern globally. While can be linked to some genetic lifestyle factors, these do not fully explain rate of declining health. Increasing evidence from human animal studies suggests that exposure chemicals found ubiquitously environment may part play role. Many on chemical exposure, however, have assessed effects individual environmental (ECs), usually at levels relevant everyday exposure. Abstract The developmental origins of health and disease (DOHaD) shows that a relationship exists between parental environment at large, foeto‐placental development the risk for offspring to develop non‐transmittable disease(s) in adulthood. This concept has been validated both humans livestock. In mammals, after fertilization time spent free maternal reproductive tract, embryo develops placenta that, close with endometrium, is organ responsible exchanges dam foetus. Any modification can lead adaptive mechanisms affecting placental morphology, blood flow, foetal‐maternal (transporters) and/or endocrine function, ultimately modifying efficiency. Among deleterious environments, undernutrition, protein restriction, overnutrition, micronutrient deficiencies food contaminants be outlined. When capacities become insufficient, foetal growth formation no longer optimal, including gonadal maturation, which affect subsequent fertility. Since epigenetic have shown key programming, modifications gametes may also occur, leading inter‐generational effects. After briefly describing normal domestic species inter‐species differences, this review highlights current knowledge on intra‐uterine programming fertility focus animals underlines importance assess transgenerational effects when new breeding systems are developed face climate changes.

The aim of this study was to investigate the association between benzene and toluene, ratio triglycerides high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (TG/HDL-C). This cross-sectional analyzed 1928 adults using nationally representative data from Korean National Environmental Health Survey (KoNEHS) Cycle 4 (2018-2020). Urinary trans, trans-muconic acid (t,t-MA) benzylmercapturic (BMA) were measured by high-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS), (HDL-C) (TGs) colorimetry. logistic regression analysis applied examine urinary t,t-MA BMA TG/HDL-C ratio. is significantly associated with an elevated in both men women (for men, OR [95% (CI)]: 2nd quartile: 2.10 [1.04, 4.22]; 3rd 2.13 [0.98, 4.62]; 4th 2.39 [1.05, 5.45]; for women, 1.21 [0.71, 2.06]; 1.65 [0.94, 2.90]; 1.78 [1.01, 3.11]), significant dose-response relationships (P trend: 0.029; 0.024). shows that environmental exposure general population. suggests more stringent health policies are needed reduce exposure.
