It has been confirmed that exposure to various metal pollutants can induce neurotoxicity, which is closely associated with the occurrence and development of neurological disorders. Ferroptosis a form cell death in response pollutant it related oxidative stress, iron metabolism lipid peroxidation. Recent studies have revealed ferroptosis plays significant role neurotoxicity induced by metals such as lead, cadmium, manganese, nickel, antimony. Lead triggers through disorder inflammation. Cadmium ion metabolism, stress signaling pathways IRE1/JNK/FTH1. Manganese promote mitochondrial dysfunction, stress. Nickel influencing function, disrupting homeostasis facilitating peroxidation central nervous system. Antimony glutathione depletion activating autophagy, resulting excessive intracellular deposition ultimately causing ferroptosis. This article reviews effects on ferroptosis-related indicators discusses specific mechanisms each may provide references identify targets preventing develop treatment strategies

B. microti is a tick-transmitted zoonotic erythrocytic intracellular parasite. Ferroptosis an iron-dependent form of programmed cell death that affects pathogen replication in the host. Currently, there limited research concerning effect tick ferroptosis on Babesia infection and underlying mechanism action. The present study used -mouse- Haemaphysalis longicornis model which nymphs fed blood -infected mice. midgut divalent iron ( p<0.01 ) reactive oxygen species (ROS) p<0.05 levels were significantly elevated infected ticks, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) showed mitochondrial ridges absent or decreased size. Downregulation ferritin 1 glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4) ticks with suggests these changes promote ferroptosis. In vivo studies demonstrated promoter Erastin increased load ), while inhibitor Ferrostatin-1 effectively ). Tick histamine-releasing factor (HRF), protein related to antioxidant system, was downregulated compared uninfected interference HRF promoted acquisition p<0.001 Transcriptomic analyses promotes by downregulating GPX4. Meanwhile, molecules ROS controls. These findings highlight critical role regulating , thereby providing important insights for deeper understanding tick- interaction.

The impact of cadmium (Cd) toxicity on fish liver injury has received much attention in recent years. Currently, autophagy, apoptosis and endoplasmic reticulum stress were reported Cd exposed liver, if there are other mechanisms (such as ferroptosis) relevant signaling pathways involved remains unknown. An experiment was conducted to investigate Channa argus (Cantor, 1842) 0, 1.0, 2.0 mg Cd/L water for 96 h. disrupted the structure mitochondria liver. Besides, induced ferroptosis by significantly increasing level Fe

Summary The clearance of dead and dying cells, termed efferocytosis, is a rapid efficient process one that critical for organismal health. extraordinary speed efficiency with which cells are detected engulfed by immune within tissues presents challenge to researchers who wish unravel this fascinating process, since these fleeting moments uptake almost impossible catch in vivo. In recent years, the fruit fly ( Drosophila melanogaster) embryo has emerged as powerful model circumvent problem. With its abundance specialist phagocytes relative ease live imaging, humble provides unique opportunity study moment cell engulfment real‐time living animal. review, we explore advances have come from studies fly, how imaging genetics revealed previously unappreciated level diversity efferocytic program. Cadmium (Cd) emissions have a negative impact on both human health and the environment.Although nano zero-valent iron (nZVI) offers lot of potential for water pollution treatment, it has been constrained by its instability ease aggregation. For elimination Cd(II) from aqueous solution, nZVI/MCM supported nZVI (nZVI/MCM-41/rGO) was designed to improve dispersion stability. It had rough, porous structure with apparent Fe (0) crystallinity slight rGO crystallinity. On surface nZVI/MCM-41/rGO, several oxygen-containing groups were detected. The specific area 15.94 cm 2 /g, pore diameter concentrated at 23.82 nm.The best performance occurred pH 6 an adsorbent dosage g/L, maximum adsorption capacity 31 mg/g achieved after 600 min.Cd(II) removal process well fitted second-order kinetic, Langmuir Freundlich isotherm. The thermodynamic parameter also analyzed proved that endothermic (ΔH° > 0) spontaneous (ΔG° < progress.During adsorption, crystal type functional nZVI/MCM-41/ did not change, but oxidized.

Heavy metals exhibit characteristics such as nonbiodegradable nature, toxic character, bioaccumulation capability, and ability to transit over long distances. The widespread application of these metal ions in various industrial sectors has led an increase their release into the environment. Chemical precipitation been one technologies used remove heavy from wastewater, involving a process which chemical agents are added wastewater with dissolved ions, react metals, forming insoluble precipitates. Therefore, present study aimed assess potential gypsum adhesive mortar type III (ACIII) precipitating for lead (Pb) copper (Cu) well evaluate toxicity products on Drosophila melanogaster . Experiments using ACIII waste agent Cu were obtained glass filter composed 04 chambers antechambers, while Pb ion precipitant was evaluated by adding powder beaker containing solution. observing mortality negative geotaxis parameters D. In tests Cu, retention percentages progressively varied, obtaining 98.82% at concentration 30 mg/L. Meanwhile, that varied 32.83 98.61% Pb. It found precipitates resulted alterations survival locomotion rates only highest concentrations. conclusion, results indicated geomaterials have removal aqueous solutions. Moreover, stages materials also impact decreasing model organism.
