Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a class of persistent organic pollutants that pose growing threat to environmental human health. Soil acts as long-term reservoir for PFAS, potentially impacting soil biodiversity ecosystem function. Earthworms, keystone species in ecosystems, particularly vulnerable PFAS exposure. In this study, we investigated the sublethal effects three short-chain (C4-C6) next-generation perfluoropropylene oxide acids (PFPOAs) on earthworm Eisenia fetida, using legacy perfluoroalkyl carboxylic acid (PFCA), perfluorooctanoic (PFOA), reference. We assessed suite biochemical endpoints, including markers oxidative stress (catalase superoxide dismutase activity), immunity (phenol oxidase neurotoxicity (acetylcholinesterase behavioural endpoints (escape test). This study aimed to evaluate the effects of separate provision green and oregano tea extracts on biomarkers redox state health condition in pre-weaned Jersey calves from birth 60 days life.
