Abstract Brazil is crucial to tackling climate change and halting biodiversity loss. Yet given its intention rely on biofuels for clean energy, there a growing risk that uncoordinated policy leads these goals compete with each other. Here we explore their interplay through long-term energy scenarios based spatially explicit system model. We find in baseline scenario where doubles biofuel use by 2050, substantial dedicated land needed, converting mostly degraded pastures. More importantly, appropriate planning, renewable combined can meet demand highly electrified systems emissions decline 40%-91% without conflicting conservation-relevant lands noticeable effect costs. This study is a response to the current long-term policy effort aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions from aviation. It explores short-term feasibility of servicing medium and long-haul commercial air routes with fully electric, zero-emission aircraft. The rapid growth of global aviation emissions has significantly impacted the environment, leading to an urgent need use carbon reduction methods. This paper analyzes aviation's dioxide (CO2), N2O, and CH4 emission changes under different hydrogen energy application paths. warming potential over a 100-year period (GWP100) method is used convert N2O into CO2-equivalent.
