<p>Under the greenhouse scale, nano zero valent iron (nZVI) have been evaluated by formulation with carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC-nZVI), chitosan (Ch-nZVI), biochar (BC-nZVI), and smectite (SC-nZVI) at rates of 0 0.5 1% (w/w). The properties manufactured compounds their impact on soil ecosystem planted safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.) as a phytoremediation crop for inorganic contaminants in contaminated mining soils measured. This study investigates the impact of nitrogen (N), sulfur (S), and iron (Fe) fertilization on secondary metabolites, particularly quercetin its forms, in onion bulbs (Allium cepa L.). Field experiments over two years examined four varieties with red, yellow, white colors bulbs: Kamal, Robin, Pueblo, Mundo. The parameters investigated included yield, dry matter content, average weight. phenolic flavonoid contents were also analyzed. free quercetin, bound total determined using HPLC method. results demonstrated notable increases yield following application (NH4+) (SO42−) fertilizers. Incorporating (Fe2+) alongside these fertilizers did not a significant compared to N+S variant. content varied fertilization, while statistically results. Overall, highlights complex relationship between practices metabolite production onions, emphasizing need for sustainable intensification modern agriculture.
