Microplastics
(MPs)
are
being
released
into
the
environment
in
large
quantities,
especially
less
developed
parts
of
world.
This
group
pollutants
is
mostly
leached
through
heavy
plastic
dumpsites,
pharmaceutical
and
personal
care
product
containers,
hospital
wastes,
package
accessories,
litter
from
food
packaging.
Consequently,
these
compounds
found
different
compartments
ecosystem,
such
as
soils,
sediments,
biota,
and,
surprisingly,
drinking
water.
The
present
study
systematically
appraised
recent
studies
on
MP
pollution
Asian
African
environments.
It
also
summarized
trends
methods
for
environmental
monitoring

strategies
that
have
been
employed.

Abstract
Microplastics
(MPs)
pollution
is
a
significant
concern
within
environmental
degradation,
prevalent
across
various
ecosystems,
including
aquatic
and
terrestrial
environments.
Industries
such
as
agriculture,
laundry,
tourism,
personal
care
products,
cosmetics
primarily
contribute
to
MP
in
both
soil
ecosystems.
The
ingestion
of
MPs
by
marine
organisms,
followed
their
subsequent
transfer
along
the
food
chain,
has
been
extensively
documented.
Additionally,
presence
environment
potentially
exacerbated
climate
change
dynamics.
Notably,
studies
have
revealed
that
soils
exhibit
interactive
effects
on
nitrogen
carbon
cycles,
leading
increased
emissions
