Thermal sintering/melting technology is a hot topic for the treatment of municipal solid waste incineration with fly ash (FA) nowadays. Most attention focused on safety treated FA, but seldom focus put separation thermally volatile metal salts. In this work, we investigated thermal-sediment control method effective Zn, Pb, Cu, Cd, K, and Na from FA. Volatilized solids collected different sediment zones (according to their distances FA source) are compared in detail under controlling gas flow rates heating temperatures. As result, 52 wt % Cd 54 Pb first separated zones, 53 Zn Cu second zones. Finally, K recovered together. purities as high 93–94 %. What more, recovery metals follow order 90 (Pb) > 83 (Zn) 81 (Cd) 77 (Cu) 73 (Na) 66 (K). A volatilization-condensation mechanism forward explain The main result work helps development "zero-waste city" concept, which also favor green circular economy.
