Endolichenic fungi represent an important ecological group of microorganisms that form associations with photobionts in the lichen thallus. These endofungi live and coevolve lichens are known for synthesizing secondary metabolites novel structures diverse chemical skeletons making them unexplored microbial community great interest. As part our search new phytoprotectants, this work, we studied endolichenic fungus Xylaria sp. isolated from Hypogymnia tubulosa, which grows as epiphyte on bark endemic Canarian tree Pinus canariensis. From extract liquid fermentation, two unreported piliformic derivatives, (+)-9-hydroxypiliformic acid (1) (+)-8-hydroxypiliformic (2), along four previously reported compounds, (+)-piliformic (3), hexylaconitic A anhydride (4), 2-hydroxyphenylacetic (5), 4-hydroxyphenylacetic (6). Their were elucidated based NMR HRESIMS data. The compounds tested their insect antifeedant (Myzus persicae, Rhopalosiphum padi, Spodoptera littoralis), antifungal (Alternaria alternata, Botrytis cinerea, Fusarium oxysporum), nematicidal (Meloidogyne javanica), phytotoxic effects mono- dicotyledonous plant models (Lolium perenne Lactuca sativa). Compounds 4, 5, 6 effective antifeedants against M. persicae 4 was also active R. padi. Moreover, 3 showed activity B. cinerea only nematicidal. had a strong effect L. sativa growth, 3, 5 identified agents, while at low concentrations stimulated root growth.

Lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) are versatile delivery systems with high interest because they allow the release of hydrophobic and hydrophilic molecules, such as essential oils (EOs) plant extracts. This review covers published works between 2019 2024 that have reported use EO-based LNPs antimicrobial properties applications in human animal health, well biopesticides. In healthcare field, reports addressed effect encapsulating EOs lipid nanosystems antiviral, antibacterial, antiprotozoal antifungal activities. care, this still needs to be more deeply explored while looking for sustainable alternatives against different types parasites affect health. Overall, antibacterial activities carrying described synthetic antibiotics. field agriculture, studies showed these approaches control phytopathogens other pests food production. There is a growing demand innovative technologies. However, there some challenges overcome order innovations reach market.

The use of different commercial products that involve one or multiple active substances with specific targeted-pests control has become a widespread practice. Because this, severe range significant consequences been often reported. Among the most used pesticides worldwide are deltamethrin (DM) and imidacloprid (IMI). With significative effect on insect’s nervous system, DM acts voltage-gated sodium channels in nerve cell membranes, while IMI mimics acetylcholine neurotransmitter by binding irreversibly to nicotinic receptors. This study investigates neurotoxic effects sub-chronic exposure formulations (IMI) adult zebrafish, both individually combination. this contain additional ingredients commonly found pesticide products, which may contribute overall toxicity. Fish were exposed environmentally relevant concentrations these for 21 days, Behavioral, molecular, histopathological analyses conducted assess impact pesticides. Zebrafish exhibited dose-dependent behavioral alterations, particularly combined groups, including increased erratic swimming anxiety-like behavior. Gene expression analysis revealed changes neurotrophic factors (BDNF, NGF, ntf-3, ntf-4/5, ntf-6/7) their receptors (ntrk1, ntrk2a, ntrk2b, ntrk3a, ntrk3b, ngfra, ngfrb), indicating potential effects. Histopathological examination confirmed neuronal degeneration, gliosis, vacuolization, more impairments observed mixture treatments. These findings highlight aquatic environments emphasize need stricter regulations mixtures further research interactions. Our combination could trigger synergistic maximizing toxicity each compound. Thus, it is well-known practice pyrethroids neonicotinoids be together agriculture. Even so, its prevalence agriculture investigate actual human health, biodiversity, ecosystem mitigates development new strategies assessing risk and, at same time, enhancing effectiveness.

Pesticide residues in agricultural soils represent an environmental concern that requires special attention due to their potential ecological and public health risks. We analyzed 614 pesticides 188 wheat fields across Europe subjected both conventional organic farming systems. At least one pesticide residue was detected 141 soils. Seventy-eight or metabolites were detected. The presence of significantly higher number concentration fileds (up 0.98 mg kg-1) compared organically managed sites 0.40 kg-1). A total 88 % 63 contained two more pesticides. Conversion from does not guarantee will be pesticide-free the short term. Fenbutatin oxide most frequently systems, followed by AMPA. Other substances, such as boscalid, epoxiconazole, diflufenican, tebuconazole, dinoterb, bixafen, DEET, found ≥ 10 samples. Some Persistent Organic Pollutants, including dieldrin, endosulfan sulphate, chlorpyrifos, also Ecological risks conventionally fields, with 46 exhibiting high-risk levels, just 1 fields. Epoxiconazole boscalid substances highest risk levels.
