ABSTRACT
Polycyclic
aromatic
hydrocarbons
(PAHs)
are
a
class
of
contaminants
characterized
by
their
persistent
and
toxic
nature.
This
study
examines
the
variability
in
PAH
distribution
patterns
upper
layers
forest
soils,
focusing
on
influence
different
characteristics
individual
soil
(sub)horizons.

total
130
samples
were
collected
from
five
areas
south‐central
Poland
analyzed
for
16
priority
PAHs.
