Seaweed, in particular, brown seaweed, has gained research interest the past few years due to its distinctive phenolic profile that a multitude of bioactive properties. In order obtain maximum extraction efficiency seaweed compounds, Response Surface Methodology was utilized optimize ultrasound-assisted (UAE) conditions such as amplitude, time, solvent:solid ratio, and NaOH concentration. Under optimal conditions, UAE had higher free bound compounds compared conventional (stirred 16 h at 4 °C). This led antioxidant activity extract obtained under conditions. The profiling using LC-ESI-QTOF-MS/MS identified total 25 phenolics with more extracted from extracts. Among them, peonidin 3-O-diglucodise-5-O-glucoside hesperidin 5,7-O-diglucuronide are unique were P. comosa, E. radiata D. potatorum, which not reported plants. Overall, our findings provided for into employing functional food.

Many studies have explored the extraction of bioactive compounds from different onion solid wastes, such as bulb, skin, and peel. However, leaves received limited attention despite their potential a valuable source nutraceutical compounds. This study aimed to valorise, for first time, agricultural waste in form spring (CN, Cipollotto Nocerino) obtain antioxidant-rich polyphenolic extracts. A Box-Behnken design (BBD) was used assess impact microwave-assisted (MAE) variables (temperature, volume, ethanol concentration) on total polyphenol content (TPC) measured by Folin-Ciocalteu method antioxidant power determined FRAP assay. Response surface methodology (RSM) applied, regression equations, analysis variance, 3D response curves were developed. Our results highlighted that TPC values range 0.76 1.43 mg GAE g-1 dw, while 8.25 14.80 mmol Fe(II)E dw. The optimal conditions predicted model 60 °C, 22 min, concentration 51% (v/v), solvent volume 11 mL. These resulted 1.35 dw 14.02 respectively. Furthermore, extract obtained under optimized characterized UHPLC-ESI-Orbitrap-MS analysis. LC/MS-MS platform allowed us tentatively identify various belonging class flavonoids, saponins, fatty acids, lipids. Finally, ability CN inhibit intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) release hepatocarcinoma cell line using an H2O2-induced oxidative stress model, evaluated. polyphenols with significant properties, suitable applications food pharmaceutical industries.

Centella asiatica, is renowned in traditional medicine for its diverse applications, such as treating lupus, skin ailments, leprosy, fever, gastrointestinal issues, mental disorders, neurodegenerative conditions, and enhanced cognitive functions. Microwave-assisted solvent extraction (MASE) was chosen a more effective, efficient, environmentally friendly method than the conventional used to extract asiatica. This study aims optimize process asiatica using Box-Behnken Design experimental approach. The results showed that highest yield, 62.25%, obtained at microwave power of 450 W, feed-solvent (F/S) ratio 0.05, time 5 minutes. F/S lowest 20.69%, 0.10, 10 critical parameters under investigation include time, power, ratio. Employing design (BBD) allows identification conditions provide optimal results. optimum achieve maximum yield 62.4912% were 546.18 0.05 g/mL, 5.10 min.

Purpose To expand the range of available natural colorants, a novel colorant was developed from fruit spikes Rhus typhina L. The extraction method optimized, and colorant’s stability under varying acid-base conditions, light exposure thermal stress characterized. Design/methodology/approach process optimized through single-factor experiments orthogonal design, focusing on key parameters such as time, temperature solid-to-liquid ratio. In addition, solution assessed against acidic, alkaline, conditions. chemical composition, group structures antioxidant activity aqueous extract were analyzed using zeta potential measurements, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl method. Findings extracted exhibited maximum absorption at 520 nm. optimal conditions for ultrasound-assisted determined to be an time 30 min, 50 °C ratio 1:20. Light up 70 min temperatures below had minimal impact absorbance, with decreases only 0.4% 0.1%, respectively. LC-MS analysis revealed diverse composition flavonoids, phenolic compounds their derivatives in extract. These components imbued inhibition 94.1%. presence anthocyanins caused extract’s color shift markedly pH, ranging red (pH 1–3) bluish-violet 6–7) yellow-green 8–10). Originality/value aurora demonstrates exceptional heat stability. primary this may impart properties antibacterial ultraviolet protection fabrics other materials, making highly suitable applications health-focused textiles.
