Food waste (FW) has become a global concern, with an estimated 1.3 billion tonnes lost annually, costing about $1 trillion. Environmental and social consequences of FW are significant, contributing to 6% European Unions' greenhouse gasemissions affecting food security. occurs is complex issue occurring at various stages the supply chain (FSC) influenced by multiple factors such as infrastructure, available knowledge socio-economic conditions. Developed countries more prevalent consumption stage, whereas in developing losses occur agricultural production, post-harvest distribution stage. Accurate quantification across crucial monitoring key performance indicators helps identify areas for improvement. The Union mandates measurement, aligning sustainable development goals, emphasizing need effective prevention measures. Preferred Reporting Items Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses approach was utilized conduct systematic literature review on (KPIs) tools. research identified 22 KPIs, categorized into three levels FSC: primary, secondary tertiary. most common KPIs included per capita, portion percentage. study further discusses measures essential tools addressing throughout chain.

In this paper, we explore whether and how circular economy policies stimulate green innovation. At the dawn of century, China launched pilot policy (CEPP). Using panel data 284 Chinese prefectures, estimate effect on patent applications. Our findings indicate a significant positive CEPP applications, including invention patents utility model patents. Mechanism analysis shows that significantly increases government attention science technology promotes economic agglomeration, which further provides more conducive environment for market entities to innovate through open Further heterogeneous reveals impact innovation is greater in southern developed cities, cities with education resources, are less dependent natural resource endowments.

The use of mineral reinforcements in polymer matrix composites has emerged as an alternative for sustainable production, reducing waste and enhancing the physical mechanical properties these materials. This study investigated impact melt flow index (MFI) HDPE particle size two reinforcements, Bahia Beige (BB) Rio Grande do Norte Limestone (CRN), on composites. All were processed via extrusion, followed by injection, with addition 30 wt.% reinforcement. Chemical analyses revealed similar compositions high CaO content both minerals, while X-ray diffraction (XRD) identified predominantly calcite, dolomite, quartz phases. Variations MFI, reinforcement type, showed a minimal influence composite properties, supported robust statistical that found no significant differences between groups. Morphological analysis indicated lower MFI exhibited less porous structures, whereas larger particles BB CRN formed clusters, affecting resistance, which was attributed to poor interfacial adhesion.

The Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) model presents a transformative framework for advancing sustainability in food festival tourism, particularly Thailand. Food festivals serve as dynamic platforms celebrating local culinary heritage while fostering environmental responsibility and economic resilience. This study examined the integration of BCG with critical success factors community identity to assess its impact on sustainable management. Employing quantitative research approach structural equation modeling, data were collected from 503 attendees analyze key relationships among event management, identity, practices. findings underscore effectiveness enhancing resource efficiency, minimizing waste, promoting sourcing, thus strengthening attractiveness festivals. Notably, role was found be less significant than anticipated, this suggests evolving tourist preferences favoring quality over traditional cultural attributes. These insights offer valuable implications policymakers, organizers, stakeholders designing eco-conscious, culturally enriching that align global goals. contributes theoretical discourse tourism provides practical strategies foster environmentally responsible economically viable

Abstract The scholarly literature highlights the relevance of social dimension circular economy (CE); yet empirical analysis this issue has been overlooked. This work sheds light empirically on gap with a fuzzy Delphi study carried out in region strong institutional support for paradigm. Through consensus 25 experts, set impact categories CE was scrutinized. results contribute to widening current quantitative vision employment generated by CE, through exploration its qualitative aspects. According our findings, technological innovation high‐skilled appears be crucial. Likewise, anticipate impacts derived from collaboration among stakeholders context still at an incipient stage. expert panel also socio‐cultural and behavioral changes. Implications public policy makers other are analyzed, namely development monitoring framework CE.

Cities, crucial cultural hubs, mould individual and group identities. The global urban expansion, with over half the population in areas, presents interconnected challenges such as pollution, poverty, inequality, ageing infrastructure, resource overconsumption, land use changes, biodiversity impact climate change. Addressing these demands ambitious actions targeting political, social economic systems for transformative theoretical framework guiding city transformation centres on an interdisciplinary approach influenced by Smart Green Transition. ‘15-minute city’ concept, emphasizing human scale experience, proposes that cities enable residents to meet daily needs within a short walk or bike ride. aim of this study was exploration its implementation Greek cities, particularly Thessaloniki, which reveals inherent characteristics supporting 15-minute concept. Through rooted Transition framework, research provides concrete guidance policymakers tailoring planning strategies, allocating resources effectively crafting policies conducive successful sustainable transformations. Moreover, prioritizing public engagement highlights significance community involvement shaping development plans, ensuring proposed initiatives align residents’ desires. In essence, contributes tangible insights actionable recommendations paving way more liveable, resilient environments.
