A magnetically assembled electrode (MAE) is a modular format in electrochemical oxidation wastewater treatment. MAE utilizes magnetic forces to attract the catalytic auxiliary electrodes (AEs) on main (ME), which has advantages of high efficiency and flexible adjustability. However, issue insufficient polarization AEs leaves potential this underutilized. In study, natural tourmaline (Tml) particles with pyroelectric piezoelectric properties were utilized solve above by harvesting converting waste energy (i.e., joule heating bubble striking mechanical energy) from electrolysis environment into additional electrical applied AEs. The strong pyrocatalytic dye decomposition of the BaTiO3/Pr2O3 heterojunction catalyst under cold-hot alternation conditions has been demonstrated in this work. For pure BaTiO3 nanofibers, ~54% rhodamine B (RhB) is decomposed 29–57 ℃ alternation. With loading content Pr2O3 increases from 0 to 4 wt%, ratio RhB solution increased first and then decreases, eventually achieving a maximum 91% at 3.0 wt%. enhanced performance after can be attributed internal electric field heterojunction, which effectively separates positive negative charges. strongly makes it hopeful for application wastewater treatment through harvesting environmental temperature thermal energy future.
