The EU Member States should implement GHG emissions reduction targets through improved efficiency use renewables. In the European Digital Decade 2030 Policy Program, following guidelines for digital transformation are named, which means that more than 90% of small- and medium-sized companies reach at least a basic level intensity. addition to that, Commission pays lot attention implementing “Green Deal” in order achieve less environmental impact. ICT SMEs already play key role Europe’s green transformation, creating technologies promote sustainability strengthen position. Does digital economy policy benefit green innovation? Evidence from heavily polluting industries in China DOI

This study investigates the impact of China's Digital Economic Policy (DEP) on industries' green innovation. It contributes to existing literature technology policy evaluation by challenging assumption that this is similar across different industries. To achieve this, a conceptual framework proposed, highlighting asymmetric influence DEP By analysing panel data from 35 Chinese industrial subsectors, including 15 heavily polluting industries (HPIs) and 20 non-HPIs, between 2010 2020, reveals implementation results in significantly higher levels innovation HPIs as opposed non-HPIs. The DEP's positive primarily facilitated through structure upgrading. Moreover, finds has greater effect with lower state-owned ratio, total factor productivity or capital dependence.
