Background: The pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus demonstrated importance of prevention through a healthy diet and lifestyle, most vulnerable people being those with severe chronic conditions, who are overweight, an unbalanced immune system. Methods: evaluation eating habits lifestyle Romanian population in post-pandemic period was carried out based on cross-sectional observational study help questionnaire. Results: 4704 valid answers were registered (3136 female 1568 male respondents). Among respondents, them belong to young population, 2892 between ages 18 40, i.e., 61.5%. Most respondents overweight (1400) obese (780). indicated tendency consume 1-2 meals per day irregularly (p=0.6167). Only 974 adopted diet, 578 lifestyle. Conclusion: present reports low adherence (20.7%) (12.28%), especially among (< 30 years). In current context, it reduced vegetables fruits below daily average recommended nutrition guidelines, towards sedentary behavior, even deficient hydration some respondents; these negative aspects can create long term series nutritional psycho-emotional imbalances. Our results evidence that complex surveys regularly required investigate or deficiencies; moreover, could be helpful further educational measures nutrition, food, environmental safety.

As age increases, the immune function of elderly individuals gradually decreases, increasing their susceptibility to infectious diseases. Therefore, further research on common viral infections in population, especially severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and influenza viruses, is crucial for scientific progress. This review delves into genetic structure, infection mechanisms, impact coinfections with these two viruses provides a detailed analysis reasons increased dual infections. We evaluated clinical manifestations following coinfections, including complications respiratory, gastrointestinal, nervous, cardiovascular systems. Ultimately, we have summarized current strategies prevention, diagnosis, treatment SARS-CoV-2 older adults. Through studies, aim reduce risk provide basis age-related diseases, thereby improving health status.

Recent studies have shown that the increasing research on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) also plays an important role in COPD. The purpose this review to categorize TCM its active ingredients summarize their pharmacological effects. Methods Articles published up December 2024 were searched through PubMed, X-MOL, China National Knowledge Infrastructure. keywords included combination COPD, pharmacologic activity, anti-inflammatory effects, pharmacology, as well vivo vitro studies. Key findings Thus far, we summarized progress mechanisms action ingredients, such flavonoids, terpenoids, phenols, treatment These encompass reduction inflammatory responses lung injury, regulation oxidation-antioxidation balance, modulation cellular apoptosis aging, among other Conclusion demonstrate strong anti-COPD properties. This provides reference for accelerating development herbal components COPD exploring new potential multi-target therapeutic mechanisms. will mitigate geographical limitations using enhance application future management strategies.

Omicron (B.1.1.529) was first detected in a sample collected Botswana on November 11, 2021, and has rapidly replaced Delta as the dominant global variant given robust transmissibility. Moreover, it displays lower virulence than other variants. However, pathogenicity of appears to be underestimated view increasing levels herd immunity through natural infection or vaccination. Additionally, volume hospitalizations deaths increase proportion number cases due high transmissibility Omicron. Therefore, vaccination remains an important public health priority. Notably, series mutations spike protein, especially receptor-binding domain N-terminal domain, associated with immune escape capacity, reducing willingness people receive vaccines. Herein, we provide in-depth discussion assess effectiveness second third against variant. On one hand, two-dose program adopted by many countries is insufficient prevent correlated decline vaccine efficacy over time. booster dose significantly increases protective infection. Most importantly, heterologous induces more response homologous dose. under special background this pandemic, there urgent need accelerate vaccination, providing better strategies, combat emerging
