Abstract Olfactory is closely associated with many diseases, and sleep the foundation of good health. While relationship between olfactory has been reported in numerous studies, there relatively little research on whether duration an effect smell, so we aimed to evaluate olfactory. This study used cross-sectional data from people over 40 years old who took part National Health Nutrition Examination Survey 2011 2012, collecting details their severe duration, self-report changes, several other essential variables. There were 2844 participants, 23.7% (675/2844) discovering alterations. Compared individuals less than 6 hours sleep, adjusted OR values for dysfunction 8 more 0.7 (95% CI: 0.56–0.88, p = 0.003), 0.66 0.52–0.85, 0.001), respectively. The association L-shaped curve (nonlinear, 0.023). developing migraine was 0.89 0.801–0.996, 0.042) participants seven hours/day. link US adults L-shaped, inflection point roughly 7

The early identification of modifiable risk factors is important for preventing kidney stones but determining causal associations can be difficult with epidemiological data. We aimed to genetically assess the causality between (lifestyle factors, serum parameters, and metabolic comorbidities) stones. Additionally, we explore impact education on its potential mediating pathways. We conducted a two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) study association 44 FinnGen dataset initially explored relationship UK Biobank was used as validation set. Then, meta-analysis by combining discovery datasets. two-step MR mediators their mediation proportions stones. The combined results indicated that previous exposures may increase stones, including sedentary behavior, urinary sodium, sodium/potassium ratio, sodium/creatinine calcium, 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25OHD), estimated creatinine-based glomerular filtration rate (eGFRcrea), GFR cystatin C (eGFRcys), body mass index (BMI), waist circumference, type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), fasting insulin, glycated hemoglobin, hypertension. Coffee intake, plasma caffeine levels, educational attainment, potassium/creatinine ratio decrease Ranked proportion, effect mediated five behavior (mediation 25.7%), smoking initiation (10.2%), BMI (8.2%), T2DM (5.8%), circumference (3.2%).This provides evidence supporting many Sedentary lifestyles, obesity, smoking, are in attainment Our suggest more attention should paid these prevent

To assess the association between sleep patterns and factors (sleep duration, trouble sleeping, disorder) risk of depression in older adults. A total 5636 participants (2754 men 2882 women) aged 60 years from 2007–2014 waves National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) were included. Sleep problems, disorders assessed home by trained interviewers using Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) system. The combined behaviours referred to as 'sleep (healthy, intermediate poor)', with a 'healthy pattern' defined sleeping 7–9 h per night no self-reported or disorders. Intermediate poor indicated 1 2–3 respectively. Baseline characteristics analysed one-way logistic regression. Logistic multiple linear regression was used depressive symptoms.Conduct subgroup analyses ensure robustness findings. overall prevalence 7.7% among analysed, rate women being 1.6 times higher than men. adults pattern healthy (OR: 2.28, 95% CI: 1.71–3.03, p < 0.001). 5.60, 4.25–7.39, findings robust after controlling for items PHQ-9. This nationally representative survey showed relationship However, study population limited Americans, we recommend continued investigation causal mechanisms two future, further expansion data sources order applicability

Abstract Objective To explore the association between circadian syndrome (CircS) and prevalence of kidney stones in overweight people. Materials methods A cross-sectional analysis was conducted based on NHANES 2007–2018. Overweight people aged ≥ 20 years were target population. Three multivariable logistic regression models built to examine CircS stones. Subgroup age, gender, race also employed. Interaction stratification identify whether some factors modify association. Result total 4,603 participants included study. The suggested that positively associated with (OR = 1.422, 95% CI 1.057 1.912). subgroup showed more obvious females 1.604, 1.023 2.516) or population 35 49 old 2.739, 1.428 5.254). Additionally, same trend present when Mexican American 3.834, 1.790 8.215) other races 4.925, 1.776 13.656). interaction results above robust. Conclusion people, especially as females, 49, Americans.

The incidence of kidney stone disease has increased worldwide, resulting in high medical costs and social burden. Kidney shares some common features with the risk factors cardiovascular diseases (CVDs). We investigated association between health (CVH) based on Life's Essential 8 (LE8) score developed by American Heart Association disease.

The purpose of our study is to examine the correlation between sleep factors and prevalence kidney stones in US adults. A total 34,679 participants from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey 2007 2018 were included analyses. Sleep data collection included: presleep (difficulty falling asleep, onset latency), intra-sleep (risk index obstructive apnea, restless leg syndrome, difficulty maintaining sleep), post-sleep (daytime sleepiness, non-restorative schedule duration, quality. Logistic regression models used analyze stones. Among participants, overall incidence was 9.3%. presence asleep [odds ratios [OR], 1.680; 95% CI, 1.310–2.150], prolonged latency [OR, 1.320; 1.020–1.700]), (higher risk apnea 1.750; 1.500–2.050], syndrome 1.520; 1.150–1.990], 1.430; 1.130–1.810]), sleepiness 1.220–1.680], 1.400; 1.110–1.760]), short duration (OR, 1.190; 1.080–1.310), mediate quality 1.140; 1.020–1.290), poor 1.500; 1.310–1.720) are linked occurrence However, latency, bedtime wake-up time not significantly associated with These findings showed positive associations higher stone factors.

This study examined the association between Life's Crucial 9 (LC9) score and kidney stone prevalence in U.S. adults. Using data from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) spanning 2007 to 2014, this cross-sectional analysis focused on adult participants with onset or recurrence. LC9 scores were divided into four quartiles for analysis. Weighted multivariable logistic regression, restricted cubic spline (RCS) modeling, threshold effect analysis, subgroup analyses employed evaluate relationship prevalence. The included 24,669 an average age of 46.05 ± 0.34 years a mean 73.76 0.25. overall stones was 8.45%, while recurrence rate stood at 2.96%. Importantly, each one-point increase score, incidence dropped by 1.2% (95% CI: 0.979 0.997, p = 0.014). Compared lowest quartile (Q1), Q4 group exhibited 0.305-fold higher 0.159 0.586, < 0.001). Interaction showed that race gout significantly influenced risk. Additionally, curve fitting demonstrated nonlinear recurrence, breakpoint identified 72.777. An elevated correlates lower risk both formation Maintaining optimal could be effective approach preventing stones.
