Hydrogen (H2) gas has great potential as an energy carrier in the emerging renewable market, emitting zero CO2. However, its high explosive and flammability pose substantial risk across production, storage, transport, consumption; thus, rapid detection of leaks is essential. In this research, hollow TiO2 nanospheres (h-TiO2 NS) with a mean diameter ∼216 nm are fabricated via solvothermal method. The NS were then chemically decorated Pd nanoparticles ∼3.0 (Pd/h-TiO2 NS). Pd/h-TiO2 enables permeation by H2, maximizing active sites due to their specific surface area ∼80 m2/g mesoporous structure average pore size 5.6 nm. chemiresistive sensor shows promising results toward H2 at 80 °C under 9 V bias 365 UV light exceptional response (4.1 for 0.1% ∼88 1% H2), time 36 s 76 fast recovery (38 39 respectively). Metal oxide semiconductor hetero- and homojunctions are commonly constructed to improve the performance of hydrogen sensors at room temperature. In this study, a simple two-step hydrothermal method was employed prepare TiO2 films with rutile anatase phases (denoted as TiO2-R/A).
