Background: Traumatic events related to war and displacement may lead development of posttraumatic stress symptoms (PTSS), but many trauma survivors also report experiencing growth (PTG). However, the phenomenon PTG remains poorly understood among refugees. Previous findings are contradictory on whether more PTSS associate with what specific or aspects account for any possible link.Objective Method: Here, we aimed better understand refugees, especially its structure most important constituent elements, as well how it associates PTSS. We employed regression network analysis methods a large sample (N = 3,159) Syrian Iraqi refugees living in Turkey self-reporting PTSS.Results: found be clearly distinct phenomena. On March 13, 2020, the US issued an emergency declaration in response to COVID-19 pandemic, necessitating increased domestic engagement of military mount national public health response. Posttraumatic Stress, Loneliness, and Perceived Pandemic Consequences in a Military Intelligence Community DOI

Building on prior research the psychological effects of COVID-19 pandemic, current study was undertaken to (1) assess loneliness as a mediator between posttraumatic stress symptoms (PTSS) and perceived pandemic impact relationship with one's significant other (SO); (2) in predicting children mental physical health; (3) biological sex moderator targeted linkages mediating effect loneliness; (4) examine stressors relatively understudied population essential workers military intelligence. Of 957 respondents broad pandemic-focused survey, 102 completed PCL-5 assessing PTSS. Results showed modest support for PTSS SO health, but notable mediation health. Paths linking both were predictably stronger mothers than fathers (p < .05), by not significantly moderated sex. The COVID-19 pandemic has led to concerning mortality rates worldwide and long-term health risks for the survivors.COVID-19 patients have endured physical psychological stress during infection, hospitalization, recovery.Recent research indicates that some discharged exhibit Post-Traumatic Growth (PTG) demonstrating possibility flourish despite adversity.Although studies explored psychiatric outcomes among survivors, few examined PTG specifically.This aims explore former patients' experiences within post-acute period, in terms of positive post-COVID effects role coping resources recovery period.Semi-structured interviews were conducted from November 2022 April 2023, involving 21 participants (57% female), mean age 64, residing Romania.All hospitalized severe COVID-19, 5 32 days.Thematic analysis identified four major themes: (1) Coping strategies -including reframing experience positively, break path into manageable actions, self-care, support seeking, acceptance; (2) Inner Strengths -optimism, actively living life, determination, independence, with hardship helped many endure this difficult illness; (3) Changed Life Perspective increased compassion, helping others more, valuing close relationships; (4) Gratitude -the awareness personal wellbeing's value prompted gratitude hope survivors.Some described making concerted efforts appreciate each new day, prosocial altruistic behaviors, while conveyed God following trauma COVID-19.The findings underscore factors contributed participants' provide unique insights pathways thriving utilized by patients.This contributes a better understanding multifaceted highlighting avenues through which medical adversity catalyzed enduring changes across cognitive, emotional, behavioral, relational domains.
