Internet gaming behaviors are common among adolescents in the modern era. Hikikomori, or prolonged social withdrawal, is a clinical condition usually emerging during adolescence young adulthood, characterized by severe self-isolation in one's home, and often associated with other psychiatric disorders symptoms. The study summarized evidence of hikikomori diagnostic criteria, manifestations, comorbidity symptoms adolescents adults. A scoping review was conducted following PRISMA guidelines, four electronic databases searched for original works English, French, Italian published since 2010. total 15 studies were selected, 7 involved adolescents, 4 adults, participants from both age groups. Most relied on the criteria proposed inclusion fifth edition Diagnostic Statistical Manual Mental Disorders (DSM-5). Differences profiles identified between Heterogeneity comorbidity, demographic features samples. Studies adopting more homogeneous populations, shared consistent assessment tools longitudinal designs are needed to better clarify people.

Young adults are at elevated risks of hikikomori (severe social withdrawal) under the COVID-19 pandemic, which could lead to psychological distress and suicidal ideation.The present study aimed examine associations among hikikomori, suicide stigma, ideation, help-seeking behaviors young in Hong Kong.This recruited a large sample 2,022 Kong via an online survey end 2021. Aim Hikikomori, a severe form of social withdrawal, has been recognized as an important global public health problem. However, estimates the worldwide Hikikomori prevalence have inconsistent. This study aimed to provide comprehensive assessment cross‐cultural through meta‐analysis and systematic review. Methods We systematically searched multiple databases (including PubMed, EMBASE, PsycINFO, Web Science) for relevant studies. Pooled were calculated using random‐effects model. Subgroup analyses categorical variables meta‐regression continuous performed identify potential moderators estimates. Results A total 19 studies based on 58,229 participants included analysis. The overall was 8.0% (95% CI, 4.9%–12.9%). did not differ significantly between regions (East Asia Western), time periods (pre– post–COVID‐19 pandemic), sex, sample size, or presence versus absence psychiatric disorders. In contrast, higher rates reported in 25‐item Questionnaire (HQ‐25) (21.7%; 95% 11.8%–36.4%) other questionnaires (5.0%; 3.1%–7.9%, [ P < 0.01]) nonprobability sampling (12.5%; 7.9%–19.2%) probability methods (3.1%; 1.4%–6.9% 0.01]). Peers play a crucial role in facilitating student participation, fostering interaction and unlocking the potential for development, thereby providing an experiential glimpse into living within inclusive or diverse societal settings. This study delves perspectives of peers regarding inclusion their hearing-impaired counterparts classroom microsystem. Focused on relatively unexplored terrain typical peers' viewpoints presence students, this research engages one hundred twenty-one from students with hearing impairments at regular elementary school levels Banjarbaru City, Indonesia, teachers six classes across different schools. The recruitment process utilized purposive sampling interviews questionnaire, gathered data subjected to thematic analysis. Employing Miles & Huberman model, analysis follows three-fold path encompassing reduction, presentation, conclusion/verification. underscores significance peer management microsystem, highlighting its aiding development proximal zones impairments. Abstract The present study aimed to examine the psychometric properties of Gamification User Types Hexad Scale (Hexad) and validate 12-item short version (Hexad-12) in Chinese context. An online survey recruited 1,610 young gamers aged between 11 29 (mean age = 23.1, SD 4.18) Hong Kong May June 2023, who completed Hexad-24 other validated measures.
