Considering that previous literature has mainly focused on the impact of digital economy (DE) environmental degradation, ignoring role natural resources, this study uses two key factors (natural resource rent and anticorruption regulation) as threshold variables to reveal effect resources association between DE carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. In doing so, covers 97 countries, annual data 2003 2019, applies a panel model. The outcomes present influence CO2 emissions single-threshold (i.e., there is an inverted U-shaped link emissions) when variable. Specifically, significantly increases at low-to-medium level, but suppresses growth exceeds threshold. Moreover, drives overall regulation variable are double thresholds for its rise in initially exacerbates contribution then weakens it over time. Based results, proposes various implications, such formulating development strategy, considering DE, strengthening anti-corruption efforts field protection.

This study explores whether increasing renewable energy consumption can alleviate environmental pressures (per capita carbon emissions and per ecological footprint) the heterogeneity of effects on countries in different income groups. China's carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions have an important impact on global climate change. However, a systematical analysis, especially from the reform and opening up, is still insufficient. Thus, emissions' decomposition since 1980 was completed by extended logarithmic mean Divisia index (LMDI), concurrently perspectives of multi-sectors multi-stages. The six sectors were (ⅰ) agriculture forestry animal husbandry fishery (AF), (ⅱ) industry, (ⅲ) construction, (ⅳ) transport storage post (TP), (ⅴ) wholesale retail trades hotels catering services (WRC), (ⅵ) others. four stages 1980–1990, 1990–2000, 2000–2010 2010–2018. results indicated that (1) CO2 grew 11.35 × 108 t in to 96.20 2018 coal has produced largest proportion. (2) industry main source (79.83%) total emissions. (3) TP's energy industrial structure AF's showed mitigating effect increase. emission coefficient presented driving 1980–1990 also mitigation Apart these exceptions, other factors' effects each stage consistent with effect.
