Nowadays the pace of production and consumption is reaching environmentally unsustainable levels. In this regard, great technological advances developed in recent years are postulated as a source opportunities to boost circular economy sustainable development. This wide range possibilities offered by new technologies create more reality has aroused curiosity interest academic world, especially years. The main objective research reveal challenges that arise when incorporating objectives economy. Regarding methodology, study been partially supported using bibliometric techniques. results highlight transformative role technologies, blockchain artificial intelligence, advancing economy, with particular emphasis on community technology integration, ethical considerations, synergies, business models, burgeoning bioeconomy. We conclude promise enhanced resource efficiency, optimized supply chains, innovative improved product lifecycle management, offering profound economic environmental benefits while fostering collaborative innovation. However, these also represent address, such integrating advanced methods, ensuring chain transparency, overcoming skill gap, avoiding data centralization, adapting regulatory frameworks foster equitable growth. These some most important areas for further research, those related development employees' capabilities adaptation frameworks, they understudied gaps.

Research background: In order to tackle climate change and ensure Paris agreements are met, countries forced look for alternative ways of producing, consuming, wasting adopt a circular economy. Reduction greenhouse gas emissions becomes one the key elements. The demand electricity is increasing, most derive from energy sector. Because that, it crucial transition fossil fuels renewable energy. Renewable energy, as part economy, also contributes sustainable development. Only efficient implementation economy practices can that development goals achieved. Purpose article: study aims at determining efficiency European Union implementing through attain SDGs. focuses on significance tool achieve highlights progress achieved in SDG EU. Methods: For assessment represented by indicators, data envelopment analysis (DEA) was performed. Findings & value added: This presents relation importance achieving SDGs helps understand how transforms into necessary actions needed improve. Based results, Sweden, Luxembourg, Ireland, Latvia, Estonia, Malta, Netherlands Bulgaria considered countries, while Austria least efficient. Unused solar wind power potential slow down development; however, EU programs strategies help move towards clean goals.

This article evaluates the synergies between circularity assessment and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) by investigating their alignments, misalignments, challenges in addressing sustainability. The analysis emphasizes significance of a multi-level approach, positioning these methods at various levels, including philosophy, strategy, assessment, communication. findings demonstrate that both LCA can serve as sustainability for strategies, despite existing gaps. However, neither approach provide complete picture system's environmental performance on its own. Data availability, diverse assumptions, spotlights shadows (highlighted neglected elements), multiple life cycles, products, functions, well temporal aspects are identified main provides recommendations based lessons learned from each suggesting integration strengths to achieve comprehensive understanding make informed decisions circular sustainable future. These include using function-based models principles prospective dynamic LCAs development future assessments. Additionally, be used establish models, aiding identifying hotspots during goal scope definition, determining allocation weighting factors Inventory (LCI) Impact (LCIA).

The Circular Economy (CE) has notable potential for the economic, environmental, and social sustainability of agriculture. However, literature on CE focused industrial sector, leaving significant gaps in analysis sustainable circular models In case traditional table-olive cultivation, which suffers from serious competitiveness problems, possibilities are particularly relevant. Given lack previous research this work aims to map practices carried out groves identify their drivers barriers. To end, an exploratory methodology mixed approaches is proposed that combines desk research, observational fieldwork, focus groups with stakeholders experts, farmers' in-depth interviews. This can be generalised other crops. results obtained have enabled up 59 brought light throughout all stages life cycle olive cover principles strategies CE. Plant covers, use eco-efficient techniques, repair sharing machinery tools, management organic outputs stand out. collaborative economy institutional support were identified as main drivers, while technical-economic barriers regulatory limitations constitute obstacles detected. Based these results, three recommendations a guide future policies certain highlighted: increase financial incentives, create stable legislative framework, reinforce incentives economy.

This study features a comprehensive analysis of the status circular economy (CE) in 27 member states European Union (EU) and focuses on CE composite indicator its specific sub-indicators. The results reveal overall improvements implementation period 2012–2021, although there are significant variations between countries. Germany is current leader regarding use practices, followed by Italy, France, Belgium. However, also notable gaps critical areas, such as waste management, competitiveness, innovation, sustainability. identifies key factors that influence CE, by-product exports, investment research development, waste-management policies. cluster groups countries into four categories to provide more detailed view regional disparities. These findings underline need for coordinated action at national levels address remaining challenges move towards sustainable across Europe.
