In
this
research,
we
utilize
a
refined
model
for
carbon
emissions,
known
as
the
Stochastic
Frontier
Approach
(SFA),
to
measure
extent
of
rebound
effect
across
sample
231
urban
areas
in
China,
spanning
years
2011
through
2019.
Additionally,
study
explores
impact
that
policies
associated
with
advancement
new
urbanization
have
had
on
aforementioned
phenomenon.
The
findings
thesis
indicate
policy
can
reduce
emission
volumes
effectively;
however,
there
is
also
significant
effect,
making
reduction
less
efficient
than
expected.
After
several
robustness
tests,
main
conclusions
remain
consistent
and
reliable.
Our
investigation
into
underlying
mechanisms
reveals
aimed
at
fostering
may
attenuate
by
enhancing
efficiency

industrial
sectors.
However,

Assessing
the
impact
of
new-type
urbanization
(NTU)
on
green
technological
innovation
reveals
how
effectively
policy
fosters
sustainable
growth
and
advancement.
This
helps
policymakers
optimize
strategies
to
promote
eco-friendly
align
national
efforts
with
broader
environmental
goals.
Using
panel
data
from
274
cities
in
China
2009
2021,
this
study
regards
a
NTU
pilot
as
quasi-natural
experiment
uses
multi-period
difference-in-differences
(DID)
method
examine
innovation.Its
heterogeneous
effects
are
examined
perspective
economic
development,
industrial
structure,
resource
endowment,
foundation
innovation.
Based
this,
structure
research
development
(R&D)
expenditure

moderating
variables
analyse
mechanism.

Coordinating
the
relationship
between
new-type
urbanization
(NTU)
and
carbon
emission
(CE)
reduction
has
emerged
as
a
primary
strategic
objective
in
China.
However,
previous
studies
on
this
subject
have
predominantly
focused
unidirectional
impact
of
NTU
CE,
neglecting
their
spatio-temporal
characteristics
potential
for
decoupling
relationship.
Focusing
county-level
areas
Zhejiang
Province,
study
establishes
an
evaluation
system
measuring
investigates
evolving
CE
from
2007
to
2021,
along
with
influencing
factors.
The
results
are
shown
follows:

levels
Zhejiang's
counties
higher
northeast
lower
southwest,
minimal
temporal
fluctuations.
Concurrently,
collective

witnessed
rapid
increase,

disparity

northern
