Abstract In today’s globalized and digitally-driven world, ELT should move beyond ‘traditional ELT’ which prioritizes NS norms towards ‘transcultural recognizing English as a Multilingua Franca (EMF) that interacts with multilingual, multimodal, multicultural resources in line translanguaging. Building on these principles, this study introduces the concept of ‘transculturing explores Digital Multimodal Composing (DMC) pedagogical approach to integrate it through Global Englishes (GE). Based student artefacts reflections from secondary school Southeast China, shows transculturing practice DMC enriched students’ understanding GE, engaging dynamic language transcends linguistic cultural boundaries. With semiotic freedom, they strategically employed diverse linguistic, semiotic, construct meaning, reflecting authenticity fluidity modern communication. This offers practical insights for teachers equip students transcultural digital realities globally-connected world.
